The world of 21st century is a society of globalization, information, diversification, culture is an important reflection as a soft power of a country, is becoming an outstanding feature of a country’s influence. The traditional culture reflects the cultural vitality of a country or a nation. Inheriting and absorbing the quintessence of traditional culture, pursuing traditional culture education during the development of society, cultivating the talent who respect traditional culture and create new culture, is a realistic request to spread the traditional Chinese culture, and make it live forever in the world.In 2006, the government of Japan revised<Basic Act on Education>, added the content of substantial traditional culture education in educational objectives, this was the first time that established the traditional culture education in law. Based on revised<Basic Act on Education>, elementary and secondary school enriched traditional culture content in most subjects, at the same year, as a typical example, education sector of Tokyo Prefecture carried out the exploitation of traditional culture school-based curriculum, such as curriculum standards, curriculum content, teaching program, curriculum assessment, teachers’ training and so on, generally and systematically pursue traditional culture education.Our country belongs to Asia Confucianism Culture as well as Japan, we have similarity on culture. On the other side, Japanese traditional culture has characteristics as a East Asia nation, and fuse the feature of ancient Chinese traditional culture, this kind of traditional culture education has developmental meaning on the exploitation and implementation of our traditional culture curriculum.This article is divided into four chapters, the introductory chapter presents the background and significance of this study, summarizes the relevant researches of domestic and overseas, illuminates the main research status of traditional culture education, and defines the concept between traditional culture and traditional culture education. The first chapter introduces the traditional culture education of Japan’s national curriculum, analysis the transition of traditional culture content in <Course of Study>, unscrambles traditional culture content on the main subjects in elementary and secondary school. The second chapter introduces the school-based curriculum--<Japanese Tradition and Culture> of Tokyo Prefecture school, focusing on curriculum theory, basic principle, content standard, teaching program,and implementation proposal and so on. The third chapter summarizes the characteristics and deficiency of Japan’s traditional culture. The forth chapter turns to the problems and current situation of our country, generalizes the enlightenment of Japan’s traditional culture education to our country.
