Traditional music is the best carrier of cultural inheritance,especially music education in primary schools.As it implements aesthetic education through vivid musical image,it effectively inherits China's excellent culture,makes students improve national consciousness and understand the extensive and profound Chinese traditional culture as well as the essence of Chinese traditional culture,and enables students to comprehend the magnificence of Chinese traditional culture and inherit and protect China's intangible cultural heritage consciously.Looking back on the 100-year history of school music education in China,traditional music was once faded out for many reasons.In the history of music education in China for nearly a hundred years,the European music teaching system has become the most important music teaching system in China.Nowadays,the school music education has undergone tremendous changes.Traditional music accounts for more than half of the total teaching content in the textbooks.From the perspective of the number of traditional music selected from the textbooks,it seems that the traditional music teaching is very important,but in fact the traditional music teaching is in school.The situation in music teaching is not optimistic.As Japan and China belong to East Asian music cultural circle and share similar cultural background,for thousands of years,the economic,historical and cultural exchanges between the two countries have never been interrupted,including music education in both countries.Within more than a hundred years after the Meiji Restoration,music education and teaching methods in Japan constantly absorbed the essence from outside,fully integrated with the national culture,and carried out practical transformation,thus forming today's advanced music teaching concept.How to take the essence and discard the dregs correctly,give full play to the essential function of music education,and improve the mode and method of music teaching is of great significance for music teaching in China which is still in the reform stage.This study finds the primary school music education in China by comparing thetheoretical basis and realistic background of music teaching in primary and secondary schools,the comparison of primary school music curriculum standards,the comparison of traditional music selection in textbooks,and the comparison of traditional music teaching in music courses.Problems and deficiencies in traditional Chinese music teaching.Inspired by the primary school music teaching in Japan,the traditional music teaching in primary schools in China should take local music as the starting point and select flexible textbooks;classroom teaching should be appropriately integrated into other non-art subjects to improve students' participation in classrooms;teachers need to strengthen The education of its own traditional music culture cares about the psychology of students and motivates students to learn traditional music.
