| With the constant improvement of the education system construction, higher education of deaf college students has become an important part of our higher education system. The deaf students’ deaf college students has become an important part of our higher education system. The deaf students’ access to information is affected and constrained by various factors, which has its particularity when compared to normal students. With the rapid development of information technology, the traditional classroom teaching model becomes unable to meet the need of the adapting teaching content. In this context, ubiquitous learning emerges and it combines the characteristics of deaf students’ learning style and transfers the leaning subject to the students. It utilizes the more advanced learning environment, such as intelligent terminals software, other technology environment equipped with the school education network as well of as off-campus environment of modern information technology, which will be the trend of the development of higher education of deaf students.Achieving deaf students’ ubiquitous learning has important implication with the help of the modern information technology. This study a theoretical research based on the theory of ubiquitous learning and learning style. Firstly, it elaborates the relationship between information technology and ubiquitous learning and proposes the necessity of deaf students’ ubiquitous studying, and analyses how learning style affecting the deaf students’ ubiquitous learning. Secondly, this study applies the “Research Scale of Deaf Student’s Ubiquitous Learning and Learning style Based on Information Technology†and selects more than 300 deaf students of Tianjin University of Technology and groups them by gender, grade the degree of hearing impairment and major, using SPSS19.0 to analysis the survey data to understand the status quo of approval degree of ubiquitous learning information technology application among deaf students and examine the differences in learning styles and with the population variable difference and its correlation with ubiquitous learning. Finally, 25 deaf students are selected to participate in case interviews and direct information are collected to supply the questionnaire results. The main conclusions of this study include:(1) the order of importance of the factors that affect the knowledge acquisition process of deaf students are as follow: awareness of ubiquitous learning, environment of ubiquitous learning, self-control of ubiquitous learning, and the application of information technology;(2) visual, tactile, kinesthetic and collective model for deaf students are the main learning styles:(3) collective learning style and ubiquitous learning awareness, ubiquitous learning environment, self-control of ubiquitous learning and the application of information technology show a significant positive correlation in the four dimensions. For the above conclusion, the present study further proposes on how to achieve the deafstudents’ ubiquitous learning:(1)build “smart campus†is the foundation;(2) cultivate and guide learning style is the key point;(3) teachers’ quality is the power;(4) nation’s guidance, school’s attention, and society’s supervision is the key. |
