Contemporary College Students’ Deficiency Of Social Morality And Educational Countermeasures

Social morality is the most essential moral standard and the baseline to maintain the social order. It is one of the cornerstones of the social morality. The expansion of the public life requires social members to follow the social morality. Contemporary college students, as an important group in the development of our society, are the future of our country. Thus, their social moral qualities are tightly related to those of our country. And the overall development of their integrated qualities is definitely responsible for the harmony and stability of public environment of the whole society. Therefore, the study of the construction of the cotemporary college students’social morality is imperative.This paper, based on the understanding of social morality and the main content of the college students’social morality, will illustrate the importance of the construction of the college students’social morality. And then it will further examine the reasons for the deficiency of college students’social morality. It will mainly focus on the lack of the social moral education in traditional ethnics, the negative effects of overall social environment, the aberration of moral education in institutions, the inappropriateness of family education and the weak self-consciousness of social moral. According to the analysis, it will come up with some exploratory measures of increasing college students’moral education respectively. In order to improve college students’moral level, it should learn current condition, analyze reasons and find out the measures accordingly, such as promoting the traditional virtues, learning advanced values and improving the public environment. At the same time, enhancing the exploration of construction of social morality in higher institutions and self-cultivating the social morality. I hope these measures will benefit the construction of the college students’social morality, and then that of the whole society.
