Employment plays an important role in national economy and people’s livelihood. All kinds of problems that relate to employment have always been the focus of the government and the public. Expanding employment scale and achieving high-quality employment are key to guarantee and improve people’s livelihood. However, facing the increasingly severe employment situation, people generally pay more attention to the employment rate rather than the employment quality of fresh graduates. In fact, from the social environment perspectives, solving the problem of graduates’ low employment quality is as important as solving the problem of low employment rate.The matching degree of employee and occupation is an important indicator to evaluating employment quality. The matching degree is like the compass and wind indicator for college graduates to select types and status of occupation. It can guide the students to understand themselves, and to understand the ideal match between occupation and themselves. Therefore, it can ease the employment pressure, improve employment quality, optimize manpower resource and promote social progress. So, it is imperative for us to conduct study on college graduates’ employee and occupation matching attribute.The employment satisfaction and development prospect depend on the practical status on human capital and social capital. They are the basis of graduates’ employment. Therefore, this research mainly analyzes the matching degree of employee and occupation in the perspective of human capital and social capital. Based on the descriptive analysis of the current status of college graduates’ matching degree, I used logistic regression analysis to study the effect of human capital and social capital on matching degree, and the conclusion is as follows:(1) In Hunan province, the current status of employee and occupation matching degree is not high, the situation is not satisfying. And graduates themselves are not actively taking actions to improve the matching degree of employee and occupation.(2) Human capital and social capital have an influence on the matching degree. The Urban and rural background, career planning, participating in organizations etc. from human capital and the parents income, father’s educational level, college employment guidance and service from social capital have a significant influence on matching degree. Regarding to the bigger influencing factor, this paper suggests that college graduates should carefully plan their career. Colleges should establish a effective employment guidance system. The government should create a fair employment environment and so on.
