Character plays a huge role in individual development, because healthy character is the source of happiness, cheerfullness and success, but bad character can leads to pain and tragedy of life, so it can be say that one’s quality of life is largely determined by his charater. It is precisely because of this, character-training is becoming the core education subject. Middle school is a crucial character development time, in which the development status of character directly affects their academic, mind and body, communication, friendship and so on. As the changes of the times, the charater developmet of middle school students is worrying. Utilitarian tendency of social environment, single or incomplete family structure, deformity orientation of school education, the unique unbalanced development of physical and mental development, all this seriously hindered the healthy charater developmet. Therefore, in order to lay a good spiritual foundation for students, it is necessary to strengthen the character training. Chinese course, with the aim of nurturing, contains rich content of character education, and has unmatched advantages than other subjects. Moreover, the new curriculum puts forward the objectives and requirements clearly "form a good personality and sound personality". Thus, Chinese course should become the main position of the healthy charater training.Character consists of attitude, emotion and will. To build healthy charater, the chinese education must consit of improving life attitude, cultivating healthy temperament and publicize free will, with the help of its wisdom of humanity, aesthetic function and the ability of the body. Cultivating middle school students’ healthy charater, we must respect the uniqueness and law of students’ charater, follow the principle of teach students in accordance with their aptitude and step-by-step approach. In addition, the formation of any mental habits and emotional attitude are all along the path of affection. Chinese teachers should training students the reasonable cognition, emotion, willpower, through the way of rational, move and guided by the lineBased on the above objectives, tasks and requirements, this paper first analysis the situation of the contemporary middle school students’ charater development, and find its hindered reasons. Then analysis the concept of the character and the basic composition of healthy character, furthermore, confirm why chinese course can cultivate students’ healthy charater. Basing on this, proposed the basic task, principles and overall requirements in chinese cultivating students’ charater. Taking this as the target and specification, according to the charater education factor in Chinese courses, this paper make the complecation with the text guide method, writing motivation method, activity training method and make oneself an example method.
