As soon as the children go to school, they begin to act as a primary school student. From then on, school plays an important role on promoting the primary school students’ moral development. Early research shows that primary school is a crucial period to promote the moral development. During this time, taking the effective ways to promote the moral development will be important for one’s whole life. However, the moral education in primary school are not as good as we expect now. This research will focus on the hidden curriculum, in order to open up another way to promote the primary school students’ moral development.The moral development has close relation with the hidden curriculum. The hidden curriculum can cover the shortage of the moral education in today’s primary school. However, it doesn’t get enough attention or to be effective used. Because of its universality and spontaneity, hidden curriculum is a double-edged sword. If we don’t take some effective ways to optimalize the hidden curriculum, it can produce the positive influence on the primary school students’ moral development, it can also produce the negative influence. Base upon this, the author will analyze this question in today’s primary school with the documents method, direct observation method, interview method, case analysis method, etc. And then to give some advice on how to optimalize the hidden curriculum, looking forward to exploit its moral education advantage.There are four chapters in this research.The first chapter is the introduction, mainly talking about the reason of the topic selection, the research significance, the research methods, the technical route, the innovation points, etc.The second chapter will talk about the theory of the primary students’ moral development and the hidden curriculum. Firstly, to clear some definitions, and then respectively talking about the theories of moral development and the hidden curriculum as the theoretical support.The third chapter will analyze the case that collect through the observationmethod, interview method, documents method. Then summarize its impact on how does it act on primary school students’ moral development, and produce what kind of impact.The forth chapter will list some suggestions of optimalize the hidden curriculum which are based on the above.
