The independent study of child-care service teachers, also called subjective development, refers to the activity that teachers make development plans and take an active part in self-research, introspection, and self-control to renew their major concepts, improve their knowledge and skills based on their own willing and wishes. The researches in country and abroad mainly focused on the concept, stages, strategies and solutions of independent study, most of which are merely theoretical creation rather than case study. Therefore, it is necessary to make a further research on the current situation and influencing factors. The study not only contributes more to the study of teachers, especially, for child-care service teachers, but also provides practical suggestions for educational department, kindergarten leaders and teachers themselves to promote their skills.According to semi-structural interviews and questionnaires, Research I makes a discussion about the current situation of independent study. 215 kindergarten teachers from Huanggu District, Heping District, Dadong District, Liaozhong County, and Kangping County of Shenyang City have been chosen to answer the questionnaires of Research on Current Situation of Kindergarten Teachers made by the author. The questionnaires include the consciousness of self-study, self-developmental plans, self-developmental actions, self-control and introspection. It turns out that the credibility of Alpha is 0.812, and the half credibility is 0.845. Then, the four parts, Huanggu District, Heping District, Hunnan New District and Xinming City are objects of the research. Among 250 questionnaires issued, there are 228 valid of 235 received. The validity is 91.2%. At the same time, the author chose three governmental kindergartens and three private kindergartens, based on three grades, good, moderate and bad. And 12 teachers have been interviewed. It involves the whole situation of teachers, and the current situation of each grades, the entire difference of independent study on the variable of population, and individual differences. The research results are shown as follows:1. Although the situation of independent study of kindergartens in Shenyang City is good, it still needs to be improved. There is a large difference in individuals. And some teachers are still negative, perplexed and in wait-and-see position, who need professional aid and guide.2. It is imbalanced for different levels of independent study. The situation of the consciousness and introspection are the best, and the status of self-developmental actions is the worst. And self-control and self-developmental plans are between the former two.3. There are differences of kindergarten teachers in Shenyang City in teaching-year, professional job titles, diplomas, kindergarten types and teacher styles. The influences of these factors on independent study of teachers are shown as follows:(1) Teaching-year has a marked influence on independent study of teachers. The study indicates that the quality of independent study is increasing in the first 15 years of teaching career, among which the 11th-15 th years reaches to the top. And after the 16 th year, the quality is gradually backed to the start. What is more, the level of the five factors of the teachers, who teaches within 5 years, is lower than others. So they need more help.(2) Professional job titles put an impact on independent study to a degree. The study indicates that the whole level of high titles teachers is higher than those with low job titles or even no. However, the teachers in primary school with high job titles show an obvious difference with others, which should be paid attention to.(3) Diploma has a negative impact, but identification of job value and study needs are further factors. It should attract our attention that the low identification of high diplomatic teachers and their low study needs.(4) It also reveals marked difference whether a teacher is included in authorized staff. There exist differences in the five factors between the teachers within the authorized staff and those in contract relationship. Moreover, except for the self- consciousness, other factors are higher than those in contract relationship.(5) To some degree, the kindergarten type also influences the teacher’s independent study. The state of independent study of teachers in educational department schools and governmental kindergartens is healthy. The teachers in subsidiary kindergartens of schools show a huge difference with teachers in other types of kindergartens.According to semi-structural interviews and questionnaires, Research II does a research on the influencing factors of independent study. And the questionnaires of Influencing Factors of Independent Study of Kindergarten Teachers are issued and received at the same time with the formal questionnaires in Research I. And the objects are the same. In questionnaires, the influencing factors include developing needs, interpersonal support, study environment, social identification and leadership style. It is tested that the credibility of Alpha is 0.824, and the half credibility is 0.711. The thesis researches the relative study of influencing factors, their polybasic regression analysis, and their ways of influencing. The results of study suggest that:Study environment, social identification, developing needs, interpersonal support and leadership style are key elements influencing independent study. And developing needs play the most important role in independent study. Furthermore, developing needs, interpersonal support and study environment have direct impact, through which leadership style and social identification influence independent study indirectly.In the part of discussion, the author makes researches on the whole state of independent study of child-care service teachers, the status of each levels of independent study, differences on the variable of population, influencing factors of independent study and the limits and improvements of the research. In the part of conclusion and suggestion, the researcher come to the conclusion of the study, and provides some practical suggestions after analysis and discussion.
