The number of elderly people in China is large and continues to rise, and children provide important support in caring for the elderly. On the one hand, due to the shrinking of the current family structure and the weakening of family functions, the caring pressure of children's caregivers is gradually increasing. On the other hand, due to the weakening of "filial piety" culture in China and the strengthening of personal standard,it is related to the phenomenon of the elderly living alone. The care behaviors of children for the elderly are also affected by the overall decline of "filial piety" and the unbalanced development. As a special elderly group under the background of weakened "filial piety" culture, the care of the elderly living alone in the city should be paid more attention to.The study of the characteristics and influencing factors of children taking care of senior citizens living alone in big cities is of great significance in coping with the aging population, alleviating the pressure of caregivers, and improving the quality of life of elderly people living alone in cities. This study takes the five cities of Shanghai,Chengdu,Guangzhou,Hohhot, and Dalian as examples.Use the data from the major project of the National Social Science Fund Task Force,"Research on the National Pension System for the Elderly in China in the Next Ten Years" and "Survey of the Status and Demand of Individuals Aged 70 and Over in Urban Areas in China's Urban Areas" to build a binary logistic model and an ordered multi-class Logistic model,to further study the proportion of children caring for the elderly and the investment time, analyze whether there are regional differences, and further explore related influencing factors. At the same time, based on interviews and quantitative analysis, the factors affecting the care of children's caregivers were improved. The main research findings are as follows: There are regional differences in whether elderly people living alone are cared for by their children.Compared with Shanghai, northern cities like Dalian and Hohhot are more significant. At the same time, whether the elderly living alone is taken care of by the children is also significantly affected by such factors as the elderly's gender, marital status, education, economic situation, health status, the number of existing children, family relations, and neighborhood relations. In addition, there are some regional differences in the time spent by child caregivers.According to the ordered logistic regression model of the number of years of care of child caregivers, regional differences significantly affect the number of years of care.In addition, factors such as the elder's gender, age, health status, number of children, family relationship, and place of receiving community care services also had a significant impact on the number of years of care provided by the child caregiver. In terms of children, the number of years of care is significantly affected by the age of the child, birth order, female, income, marital status and living distance influences. In addition, there are significant differences in the length of daily care in different regions. At the same time, the age of the elder, the number of existing children, and community care service acceptance are also the main influencing factors. In terms of children, daily care hours are mainly determined by birth order, marital status, income and living distance, and frequency of contact. In addition, from interviews that the main influencing factors of care behaviors are the social and social participation of the elderly, quality of life requirements and mental state, children 's personal concepts and personality, occupation and work status, and emotional relationships. It is also related to family decision-making and family relations, family structure and family pressure.
