With the impact of economic globalization and modernization, the original pattern of minority cultural inheritance is gradually broken down. It’s hard to carry on for traditional inheritance way of "in natural contexts" for inheritance of family education and social inheritance, which leads to the plight of inheritance for national traditional culture. In virtue of an organized and planned approach to schooling heritage to inherit and protect traditional national culture, it’s necessary to bring traditional culture into campus, which is not only a necessary requirement for multicultural development, but also the inevitable choice of the development of national culture. As a folk dance of Yao, Long Drum Dance is the narrative poems for the history and the living and production of the Yao people. When it is introduced into campus, not only can it opened up a new approach for the protection and inheritance, but it can also give full play to the role of school education, which is necessary for the promotion of national culture and effective protection, inheritance and development of national culture.School is as the main places to make people humanization which can intensively and systematically impart knowledge. So the school education is doomed to be the main way to the current protection and inheritance of traditional culture. However, the author examined the current situation in Jianghua, Hunan, where they found many schools have not played good role in heritance of Long Drum Dance. The role of school education on heritance of Long Drum is limited. One reason is that school is a special institution with the characteristic of finite space and time and education influence, which limit its function. The other is related to national culture. Because as the sum of a nation’s whole life, the integrity, mass character and religiousness of their culture determine its necessary dependence on some social field and inheritance patterns. The cultural heritage far away from the"life" is bound to face some difficulties. Therefore, it can not help but doubt:school education can take on the task of traditional cultural heritage of ethnic minorities? How does "national culture" develop after "entering the campus"?In essence, education is a part of culture, which plays basic role in education, and education is also the main way of inheriting and developing culture. Therefore, education, especially school education, should play the role of cultural heritage, cultural choice, and cultural innovation. But the conflict between modern scientific culture and the thoughts of ethic and religion, the limitation of time and space of school education and "non-life" tendency in school education cause that school education can not clearly play role in inheriting the traditional national culture. In addition, as a product of modern human society, with educational purposes, educational content and teaching methods restricted by certain social basis, the role of school education is limited on inheriting the traditional national culture. So we should not leave the task of national culture inheritance completely to schools. The role of school education on traditional national culture heritage is limited. Ignoring the role that the school education can play and blindly hoping to inherit the traditional national culture through institutionalized school education, which will only lead to exaggerate infinitely the function of school education, leading to the perfunctory of the purpose of national culture inheritance, the fragmentation of inheritance content, and the formalization of inheritance process in school education. It not only fails to achieve the goal of inheriting traditional national culture, but also hindered the normal education and teaching, in which gains cannot make up for losses. So the study of the limits of traditional national culture inheritance by school education will help us to get a clearer understanding of the plight of school education in inheriting national culture, and will help us to better clarify the responsibilities of school education. It has great enlightening significance for curriculum reform of basic education in minority area in our country.For a long time, due to the impact of exam-oriented education, many schools still stay on the issues about how to improve students’ enrollment, retention rate, drop-out rates and academic performance and so on. So little attention was paid to the development of the national culture after "entering campus" and neglects the position of thinking of "what is on earth education","what should be the education" occurring in minority areas. In particular, it ignores the purpose that "education in nature should be culture activities that optimize the human existence, the core of education should be ’people-oriented’ and’ developing people’", which leads to the lack of the fundamental goal of national education, the lack of the responsibility and the limiting of school education. The reason for this result is not only related to long-term "dislocation" of ethnic concept of education, but also to the thought of long-term neglect of limited nature of school education, which has no clear understanding of "what can do", "What can not do" in school education, and keep on attaching enchantment on school education. Traditional national culture inheritance is an organic compound system, and its transmission mode is diverse. In addition to school education, family education, folk education, religious and education are all good approaches to protect and inherit traditional national culture. Therefore, on advocating "national culture entering into campus", we can not attend to trifles and neglect the essentials to leaving the inheritance of traditional national culture entirely to school education, but pay attention the other education ways of national cultural inheritance and integrate diverse education of inheriting models to probe the protection and inheritance of national traditional culture. Only we do this, can we make up the limit of school education and realize that national traditional and traditional cultural can be inherited well.Therefore, in dealing with the limited problems of school education, firstly we need to correctly understand in mind the limitation of school education. The school education is only a constituent part in great education system, and the role it can play is limited in nature. Attaching too much enchantment on it or blindly blaming unscrupulously will make it difficult to take the heavy responsibility and gradually deviated from their educational "doctrines"-"people-oriented" and the noumental value of " development of man", which is not conducive to school to play its existing functions, but also to make school education more difficult. Secondly, we have to study further on the national culture after it "entering campus" and set up correct developing ideas of national culture. With colorful traditional culture of majority, we should keep carefully on choosing and examining what kind of culture should be introduced into the campus, and what kind of culture should be inherited by other educational approach. The selecting of teaching-context can not stay on the level of "artifacts culture", but it should care for the spiritual connotation behind traditional national culture. That is the true meaning of national and cultural inheritance. Last, as to the "national culture" after "entering the campus", we can not stick to old custom to keep away from the modern school, but realize the combination of "modern" and "tradition" in the content of inheriting the national culture and the way of inheritance. School education should improve and optimize the ratio of inheriting national culture by making students aware of "culture consciousness" in national culture inheritance in mind, reforming the curriculum resources, building security mechanism of national culture inheritance and learning from other experience of national culture inheritance. To do this is to explore the developing way of "cultural adaptation and chart the orientation of national culture inheritance in school education.Of course, we do not mean to belittle school education when we mention its limitation in function, but that we should get reasonable understanding on it, and locate its function correctly in national culture inheritance. Only reasonably understand what school education real is and understand its finite, can we find out the restricted factors and play utmost the function of school education well. Only by doing this, can we follow the general rules of school education and cooperate with other educational forms to promote the protection and inheritance of ethnic traditional culture and then the whole society can develop harmoniously, firmly and rapidly.
