The secondary school students just like the flowers are the future of our country. Nowadays, under the education for all-round development, what educators are focusing on are not only students’ academic record, but also on the cultivation of their sound personalities. Class is the main place for the students to stay when they are at school, and it exerts a suitable influence on students’ studies, lives and so on. Meanwhile, it is the main place for students to receive education, to realize their socialization and to develop their individualization. An outstanding class organization model greatly educates and promotes the healthy development of each student. It is a key factor for schools’ existence to let students have the sense of class belongingness and class freedom. The studies before were mainly on school belongingness but on class belongingness. This study is based on the summary of the studies conducted by the former researchers and made some improvements, discussing the inner relation between secondary students’ sense of class freedom and class belongingness and the moderating function of self-esteem from the perspective of educational psychology. Via studying on the issues of this kind, the study on the class organization model will be enriched to offer novel thought to establish the best class organization model and to provide the real evidence to improve secondary students’ sense of class freedom and class belongingness. This study based on the analyses of references and consultation from experts, preliminarily proposed the theoretical structure of secondary students’ sense of class freedom and class belongingness questionnaire, and then surveyed 200 secondary school students on grade one and grade two from a certain middle school in Chongqing. After classifying all of these 165 valid questionnaires, we established the initial questionnaire of secondary school students’sense of class freedom. Later on, we chose 150 secondary school students from a middle school in Chongqing to be surveyed, getting 134 valid questionnaires which then were used to be analyzed by item analysis and factor analysis. Finally, it formed the secondary school students’sense of class freedom questionnaire consisting of single dimensionality and 6 questions.Via the analysis of references and the suggestions from experts, and the interview of the headteachers and students from 12 classes respectively from two different schools, we concluded four types of class organization models, namely, the flat fixed type of class organization model, cone fixed type of class organization model, flat rotation type of class organization model and cone rotation class organization model.Four different middle schools’ secondary students in Chongqing and Henan Province were chosen as the testees, before the test, we interviewed the headteacher and students in each class in order to know the organization model. There are three classes under the same organization model. Then,550 secondary school students from 12 classes were tested by secondary school students’ sense of freedom questionnaire, secondary school students’ sense of class belonging questionnaire and self-esteem questionnaire, with 523 valid questionnaires back. The statistical analysis shew that: the secondary school students’ sense of freedom questionnaire we established had good reliability and validity; the differences between different genders and parental relations on sense of class freedom were not statistically significant, but those among different birth places, whether the single kid and the different class organization models were, and the highest points of the sense of class freedom was under the flat rotation model, the lowest was under the cone fixed model; meanwhile, there differences among different class organization models were statistically significant, the highest points of sense of class belongingness was under the flat rotation type of class organization model and the lowest was under the cone fixed model, in other words, it was under the flat fixed type of class organization model that both of the points of students’ sense of class freedom and class belongingness were the highest; secondary school students’ level of esteem exerted statistically significantly moderated their sense of class freedom and class belongingness, which verified the former theoretical hypothesis.
