Autobiography curriculum theory is a important genre of the postmodern curriculum theory.William.F.Pinar,Miller,Gurmet and Goodson are the representatives of the autobiography curriculum theory.Ivor F. Goodson is one of the prominent international scholars of the UK curriculum areas of research in the last century. He introduced the life history into the curriculum research and teacher research, which develops a unique autobiography curriculum theory.This research wishes to promote the curriculum innovation of our country’s basal education by the study of autobiography curriculum theory of Ivor F.Goodson.There are five parts of the essay:Introduction:It is about the reason,the significance and research methods of the study.Part Ⅰ:Biography of Ivor F.Goodson.In order to better understanding the autobiography curriculum theory theory of Ivor F.Goodson,we introduce Goodson’s life course and academic course in detail.Part Ⅱ.The background and the basal theory of the development of autobiography curriculum theory of Ivor F.Goodson.This part mainly contains the background,the philosophical foundation,sociological foundation,psychological foundation of autobiography curriculum theory of Ivor F.Goodson.Part Ⅲ:The main viewpoints of Ivor F.Goodson’s autobiographical curriculum theory. It contains curriculum essence, curriculum aims,curriculum content, curriculum implementation and curriculum research method.1.the essence of curriculum:Goodson thinks curriculum is the narration of the learners’ life experience.2.curriculum aims:Goodson criticizes the shortcomings of traditional courses.He points that curriculum should promote the liberation of teachers and students, and promote teachers and students understand their own life experiences and history, and can contribute to their social development.3.curriculum content:Goodson pointed that the traditional curriculum were away from the teachers and students’life world so that they are in the depression state.He advocated the life history should be integrated into the curriculum.4.curriculum implementation.Goodson thinks that we should learn from within and learning should promote the learners’ awareness of self,of others and of the world,and therefore he proposed "narrative learning".He advocates that teachers and students to learn from the life history narration.5. Curriculum Study:Goodson criticized traditional teacher research is mainly about what teachers should do,ignoring or denying the person that the teacher is.He advocated that we should research the life history of teachers.Part Ⅳ:The criticism and reflection of the autobiographical curriculum theory of Goodson. This part contains the theory significance and some inadequacies of the autobiographical curriculum theory of Goodson.Part Ⅴ:The enlightenment to our Curriculum Reform of Basic Education and curriculum research. It Mainly has four aspects:1.Focus on the life history of students and teachers.2. Advocate narrative learning; 3. use the life history analysis methods to promote the professional development of teachers in teacher education.4. Advocate the life history research methods.
