Cooperative learning has been wildly used around the world, and there are also lots of researches on it, but some inadequacies still exist. Firstly, researches on the essence, connotation and mechanism of cooperative learning are insufficient. Secondly, some researchers explore cooperative learning of classroom through platforms like Moodle, but fewer explore the tool support of Extracurricular. Last, types and empirical researches are lacking.Based on researches both at home and abroad, the thesis try to rethink the essence of cooperative learning from a new theory perspective. This paper decide category of cooperative learning through analyzing the essence and characteristic of it, and then explore its mechanism, effect and technology supports. After the theoretical deduction, this thesis uses a practice of a university students DX cup project-based learning to verify our hypothesis.The conclusions, based on the analysis of cooperative learning above, are as follows. Firstly, cooperative learning is important for students, and it is also a basic form of project learning in universities and colleges. Secondly, from the perspective of dialogue, cooperative learning can be divided into 4 categories:chat, debate, discussion and dialogue, each kind has its special effects. Thirdly, the effect of technology cannot be ignored in cooperative learning. Last but not least, basic elements of cooperative learning are concluded. In the conclusion part, the paper put forward some suggestions to guide students to take part in cooperative learning.
