Design And Development Of Family-School Cooperation Platform Supported By Mobile Terminal

More and more efforts are made to the researches into the importantance of the family-school cooperation in promoting students’ academic achievements and healthy growth. Since the mid-20th century, the form of the family-school cooperation has evolved from a face-to-face communication to a more convenient, timely and effective way by the use of the mobile communication technology and the smart mobile terminals.This thesis summarizes the significance, forms, tactics and levels of parental involvement of the family-school cooperation by studying the concepts, theories and practical research projects of family-school cooperation both at home and abroad. Further more, there’s an analysis of the application of using media and technology in the family-school cooperation. The idea of building a family-school cooperation platform with mobile terminals is inspired by the mobile computing technology and the existing cooperation platforms. To meet the needs of Jiaxing Experimental Primary School, a platform is designed based on the mobile terminals and the explorer. It combines server technologies, web technologies and push technology as technical supports, and takes advantage of the B/S and C/S technical architectures. A hybrid development mode is used in the mobile terminal development, exemplified by iOS. In addition, this thesis also tests and evaluates the practical application of the platform.
