Smart Phone Development Influence On High School Students And Countermeasures Research

In recent years,with the development of smart phone and the decrease of web cost,smart phone has become popular among high school students,and in place of computer,become their major tool of surfing the Internet.Although smart phone makes their life and study more convenient,it brings about new challenges and problems.Thus,it is of great theoretical and practical significance to study the present use of smart phone among high school students,analyze its benefit and harm for their study,physical and mental health,and discuss about the reasons why they indulge in smart phone and its management strategy.By means of interview and questionnaire,this study,with the sample of 913 high school students from three grades of JP High School in Lianyungang,makes a statistical analysis of their present use of smart phone,finding that smart phone has become popular among them.While most of the students can properly use the phone,some rely too much on it.They mainly apply the phone in communication and entertainment,but seldom in study.Most students agree on the supervision of smart phone at school.Smart phone can help high school students make more friends,search and gain information,thus becoming a good assistant in their study and life.However,its abuse can result in many problems,such as phone addition,less face-to-face communication,negative effects of harmful information on their physical and mental health,affecting teaching order in class,diverting students' attention and make them compare with each other.High school students' obsession with smart phone is related to their physical and mental development feature,and their boring school life.Web is its basic attraction for high school students,while social communication,games,fictions and videos are major attractions.Schools,teachers,parents,students,the government and the industry need to cooperate in phone management among high school students,taking the measure of “combining persuasion with management: the former first,and the latter secondary”.Students should form the habit of properly using smart phone,parents and teachers should set an example,schools should provide good guidance,the government should enforce its supervision on harmful online information,and the industry should have discipline,taking its own social responsibility while in pursuit of revenue.
