As the important content of the Chinese nation traditional culture, etiquette is in all aspects of social life. With expanding of social interaction, the external etiquette habits and norms reflect not only the individual’s intrinsic tutelage, but also reflect the cultural quality of different social groups, and it becomes the essential factor to promote the social harmony and progress. However, a part of the junior high school students lack of the etiquette consciousness and basic knowledge. The etiquette manner lacks of integrity. In order to promote the harmony of family, school and social, we must do etiquette education to junior middle school students.The paper makes the Ideological and Moral Course in Middle School as the point to talking about the etiquette education. The paper is composed of three sections.The first part is about the theory in the Ideological and Moral Course in Middle School. This paper argues that the etiquette is formed developed in people long-term social practice, which shows the respect of behavior in the social intercourse. It includes a series of system, regulations and customs. Etiquette education form by the certain social or organization which makes a comprehensive system influences to the educators purposely and designed, based on social contacts, to raise awareness of mold character of educators. Etiquette education in the Ideological and Moral Course in Middle School is the teaching practice to junior middle school students in the teaching of moral education, which combines with the characteristics, rules of discipline and the content, including daily communication etiquette, etiquette of public places and campus life. There are two theoretical foundations about it, which are interpersonal relationship theory and moral development theory. It is the urgent request of health growth of junior middle school student, is the inherent requirement of the new curriculum, is the requirement of cultivating qualified citizen, and the request of the construction harmonious interpersonal relationship.The second part is about the problems and reasons of Junior high school student’s etiquette culture and etiquette education in the Ideological and Moral Course in Middle School. The problem about the etiquette culture of Junior high school students is poor as a whole. The etiquette education in the Ideological and Moral Course in Middle School is that the teacher’s consciousness to carry out the etiquette education is not strong, and there is no whole content about etiquette education. The reason influencing students’ etiquette education of junior high school students are that the etiquette education system of Junior high school students is not perfect and that the teachers only pay attention to intellectual education and ignore the etiquette education and that the development of etiquette content is deficiency.The third part is about the optimization strategy of etiquette education in the Ideological and Moral Course in Middle School in order to do better etiquette education in the Ideological and Moral Course. Firstly we need to improve and perfect the etiquette education system of school, family and social, Specifically in junior high school, the main channel of students’ etiquette education is school education, the base of students’ etiquette education is family education, the main battleground of etiquette education is social education. Secondly, we need to improve teachers’ etiquette education, to cultivate the consciousness of teachers, to enrich the etiquette education knowledge of teacher, and to enhance the ability of teacher’s etiquette education. Thirdly we need to perfect the etiquette education, to dig and neaten the etiquette education content in the teaching material, to pay attention to outside class etiquette education resources development and utilization of outside class, and to expand the content of the etiquette education through carrying out the etiquette theme activities.
