With the progress of the development of production and life, the weakness of human nature gradually exposed. Growing at any price, for the pursuit of self-interest maximization as the social relationships become increasingly tense, human emotions are increasingly indifference, so all kinds of social contradictions and negative frequent phenomenon. On December 25, 2013, an 11-year-old girl slammed a baby boy in the elevator. On June 29, 2014, a group of middle school students waving knives besieged one person on a street. All these events reflect the absence of friendship. On December 23, 2013, the General Office of CPC Central Committee issued On Cultivating and Practicing the Socialist Core Values, sublimating the socialist core values to a new level with 24 words and 3 levels, with prosperity, democracy, civility and harmony on national level, freedom, equality, justice and the rule of law on society level and the patriotism, dedication, integrity and friendship on personal level. As the personal values and a standard of behavior, the concept of “friendship” is strengthened, which requires us to follow the moral standards and communication principle of friendship and establishing values of friendship.Junior middle school students are on the stage of physical and mental development and thoughts becoming mature, so thanks to their physical and mental characteristics they have strong plasticity in their thoughts and behavior. Therefore, the value of friendship should be attached to great importance in junior middle school. From the perspective of course objective and teaching material, the ideological and ethical education in junior middle school is the best platform to strengthen friendship and help students transfer the value of friendship to moral consciousness. This paper conducts the research on friendship education in the ideological and ethical education of junior middle school from the following three parts:Part one makes a general introduction to the related theories of friendship education in the ideological and ethical education of junior middle school. Two subjects have been discussed in this part: definitions of relevant concepts; the characteristics of friendly education.Part two discusses the significance and feasibility of strengthening friendship education in the ideological and ethical education of junior middle school. It has the following meanings: conforming to the requirement of socialist core values; realizing the moral objective of this course consolidating the status of this course; optimizing teaching effect of the class and promoting learning interests; enhancing the physical and mental health of students and nurturing friendship morality. Its feasibility can be shown with the preference of discipline characteristics and superiority of discipline resources.Part three introduces the implementation strategy of strengthening friendship education in the ideological and ethical education of junior middle school. It mainly includes penetrating friendship education into classroom teaching and developing friendship education through extracurricular practice, among which the principles and way of classroom friendship education and friendly education in extracurricular practice are interwoven.
