The connection between the secondary vocational education and higher vocational education, which is an inevitable trend of the development of vocational education and the establishment of modern vocational education system. Curriculum connection is the core and key of the connection between the secondary and higher vocational education. In the information age, every citizen need to master basic IT requirements, which is also the need of our country. The course of “Computer Application Foundation” is a basic one which is opened in all secondary vocational schools and higher vocational colleges. Take “Computer Application Foundation” for example, we expect to find a key way to research the connection between the secondary and higher vocational education, which inspires other people to pay attention to other aspects of the connection between the secondary and higher vocational education and rich it.The paper is based on three theories: spiral curriculum theory of pedagogy, cognitive and skill development theory of psychology, maximum benefit theory of economics. According to the research needs, we designed the questionnaire and interview outline carefully, and chose 8 leaders, 48 teachers, 154 students from 5 secondary vocational schools and 4 higher vocational colleges. At the same time, compared “Computer Application Foundation” curriculum standard of secondary vocational schools and higher vocational colleges. After finishing the analysis of survey data, summarized the problems and reasons of “Computer Application Foundation” curriculum connection. Main problems: aspect of curriculum objective, the curriculum objective is repeated, the curriculum does not converge; aspect of curriculum content, course content is repeated seriously which made students disliked most; aspect of curriculum implementation, part of the secondary vocational teachers’ didn’t understand the nature of the course, vocational teachers were lack of communication and had less training opportunities and teaching challenge; aspect of curriculum evaluation, traditional evaluation tools, different evaluation criteria and so on. Finally, try to propose strategies to solve the problem. Curriculum objective, set curriculum goals integrally, strengthen supervision of school curriculum; curriculum content, develop a unified curriculum standards; curriculum implementation, build a training and communication platform, establish hierarchical teaching; curriculum evaluation, use different evaluation tools, unified exam. The main contents of the paper are as follows:Chapter 1: introduction. This part expounds the background, the aim and significance of the research, the definition of the concept, the main contents of the research, related researches and research methods.Chapter 2: the theoretical basis of curriculum connection. The foundation of the research is pedagogy, psychology and economics.Chapter 3: survey research about “Computer Application Foundation” course connection of the secondary and higher vocational education. This part describes the current situation of curriculum connection, and analyzes the problems and the reasons from curriculum objective, curriculum content, curriculum implementation, curriculum evaluation.Chapter 4: measures to promote “Computer Application Foundation” curriculum connection of the secondary and higher vocational education. This part proposes the solution strategies based on chapter 3.
