Children are a very active group in our social life.We always look them as the sun.Because they are the reserve forces of the society. We often say "The stronger the children are,the stronger the country is.The richer the children are,the richer the country is."The progress of the society is closely related with the development of the children. For a society, children means hope. But for an individual, this stage plays an important role in one’s life, just like the foundation period for a house.Only if a house has a stable foundation,it will not shake the whole building.Just like the old saying "Child is the father of the man."So we can see the importance of children in our life.So we can see that childhood is an important stage in our life. The conformation of self-concept of children is significant for their growth. In this stage, they start from physiological level to mature, from weak self-awareness to clear. From social dimension, their self-concept is influenced by family, school, friends and mass media. One primary schoolmaster once said:"Child is stocked with books! " Different from adults, they are just like a piece of white paper. They have childish thoughts, curious behavior and unacceptable problems.there is a practical as well as some curious behavior may not be recognized by the adult world problems. When they grow up,their way of thinking and describing themselves (their self-concept) is changing a lot. With the maturity of the individual mind and accompanied by changes in cognition, they will be more clear with themselves. "Ren xiao gui da" is what we call them in Chinese. In fact, they have their own needs. For example, they need to participate in activities that interest them;they need to be protected in a caring environment (such as home and school);they need build an equal relationship with parents, teachers and friends. When children build up their needs, they form their understanding of themselves. And these needs is built on the basis of our understanding of them. Only by understanding the psychological development of children’s self-rule,we can understand how their self-concept is formed. This paper aims to study the formation of children’s self-concept and its relationship with family, tutoring and school. Moreover, the author has long been engaged in tutoring activities for children and has a wealth of case information. This helps the author to research the effects of children’s self-concept through the sight of tutoring.
