Working condition just refers to people’s attitude to their current work, namely the general evaluation of excitement, seriousness,negativity and lassitude. Based on the investigation of the working condition of the teachers nearby, widely reporting on child abuse events and the reflection on China’s preschool education development, the author takes kindergarten teachers of District B of Wuxi as research objects. The purpose of this thesis is to understand the working condition of kindergarten teachers in this district and further on to look for problems and solutions, which is supposed to play an important role in the professional development of kindergarten teachers as well as the sound development of preschool education.In the research, through Literature Research and Interview the author has comprehensively understood the connotation and extension of the working condition and determined four index measure dimensions of working condition, thus occupation understanding, occupation performance, occupation development and occupation living condition. Moreover, on the basis of Questionnaire of Young Teachers’ Working condition from a master’s thesis Investigation and Thinking on Working condition of Young Teachers in Colleges and Universities written by Xu Rong, the author has designed a preliminary questionnaire of kindergarten teachers’ working condition. Secondly, by giving out the preliminary questionnaires, the author finally devised the official questionnaire of kindergarten teachers’ working condition. Through project analysis and credibility&effectiveness analysis, the official questionnaire is with reasonable structure, good credibility and effectiveness. At last, through questionnaire and interviews, the author investigates and studies the kindergarten teachers in District B of Wuxi. The results are as follows: the working condition of kindergarten teachers in this district is generally good, specifically, the occupation performance is quite good, occupation development and understanding come second, but the occupation living condition is not specially ideal. In four index measure dimensions, kindergarten teachers with different characteristics have no dominant differences in the occupation qualification or accommodating condition, but have dominant differences in part of variables.of the other 4 index dimensions.Based on the investigation and analysis, the author considers that there are some problems in the working condition of kindergarten teachers in District B of Wuxi. For instance, some kindergarten teachers have idealized the understanding of preschool education too much, and simplified the requirements of themselves. They have too unitary expectations of their work and are lack of occupational pride in work. Kindergarten teachers do not own enough effective working incentive due to the low social status, poor performance distribution imperfect normal internal management. Full of conceit, self-satisfaction and muddling-along concepts, kindergarten teachers are lack of enthusiasm for development. In addition, being influenced by work, life and environment, the kindergarten teachers face heavy survival pressure. Lack of occupational recognition, the motivation to “stay”, and the atmosphere of “living in groups”, male teachers are easy to generate turnover intention, thus causing the imbalanced proportion of male and female teachers. Finally, the author has collected some materials and put forward 9 possible solutions from the perspectives of macro, medium and micro in an attempt to deal with the mentioned problems.The innovations of this research lie in two aspects. First, the research results are representative for some regions with quite advanced preschool education, which can arouse the attention of teachers and management institutions. Second, the design of questionnaire and the analysis of results can also provide reference and basis for other regions to carry out studies on kindergarten teachers’ working condition.
