Practice Research On Cultivating Excellent Engineers By Coalition Of Colleges And Enterprises

National Medium and Long-term Talent Training and Development Layout Plan(2010-2020) indicates that advanced and innovative technology talents in our country in 2020, so our engineering education is facing with unprecedented challenges. Based on the demand of future economy in our country, in 2010, Ministry of Education launched “education training plan of excellent engineers” urgently for aiming at facing industrial circles, global concentration and future development to form a multitude of excellent engineers with solid theoretical basis, stronger manipulative ability, high innovation ability and rapid adaption of economic and social development demand. This plan can be divided into three levels of training, including undergraduate, master and doctor. Undergraduate emphasizes on cultivating high-quality and applied versatile talents who can design, develop and run engineering projects, while feeling equal to management and marketing of production field, etc., a series of work. In order to realize this training objective, the key is to conduct deep cooperation between schools and enterprises.In order to achieve the goal of "excellence program" at undergraduate level, the local colleges and universities have adopted the way of college-enterprise cooperation,combined with their own school running orientation, trying to find out a suitable development way of their own training.This research regards local applied colleges and universities in our country as research objects, it applies literature law to analyze and summarize the current situation of developing excellent engineers by coalition of colleges and enterprises in local applied colleges and universities.This paper selects two different applied colleges and universities where locate in the areas with larger difference of economic development, analyzes analyzes the same problems, and attempts countermeasure and suggestion.This paper can be divided into five chapters.Chapter one is introduction, introduces research background and significance, conducts literature review on related research status of training mode by coalition of colleges and enterprises and elaborates research thought simultaneously.Chapter two conducts theoretical research on cultivating excellent engineers by coalition of colleges and enterprises. Based on analyzing training objective in undergraduate level of “excellent program”, it proposes four theoretical basis of cultivating excellent engineers by coalition of colleges and enterprises in our local applied colleges and universities: theory of “combining with education and productive work”, theory of “pragmatic education”, theory of “industry-academy cooperation” and theory of “mutual balance between universities and enterprises” and also defines cultural characteristics of excellent engineers.Chapter three analyzes problems and reasons for cultivating excellent engineers by coalition of colleges and enterprises in local applied colleges and universities. In our country, the coalition of colleges and enterprises for applied colleges and universities has some problems, including ambiguous school training objective, single teaching staff, lack of characteristic course system, serious practical teaching formalization and imperfect evaluation system, etc. Reasons for causing these problems contain talent cultivation without characteristics, lack of innovation for construction of teaching staff, disjunction between curriculum provision and practice, lower enthusiasm for enterprise participation and unified evaluation indicators, etc.Chapter four carries out practical research on cultivating excellent engineers by coalition of colleges and enterprises in local applied colleges and universities. In the western and eastern areas with larger difference of economic development, it selects Shanghai Dianji University and Chengdu Technological University as blueprints, which have already had some experience in practice of exploring cultivation of excellent engineers by coalition of colleges and enterprises, combines with the practical exploration of two colleges, analyses their similar problems.Chapter five perfects countermeasure and suggestion on cultivating excellent engineers by coalition of colleges and enterprises in local applied colleges and universities, mainly proposes recommendations and measures from three aspects of government, enterprises and schools and helps to improve education and research of excellent engineers in the undergraduate level.
