Remo, a music education philosopher, believes that the value of music education is “to enrich the quality of life by enriching people’s sensory experience”. As an important part of music education, singing education is also given with both aesthetic and educational value. Through the singing activities in kindergartens, children have learned not only the chant about life but also the poetic expression of love. Based on the practice research, this dissertation takes a deep and careful observation about teachers’ behaviors in kindergarten singing activities, concentrating on analyzing the current situation and problems, and finally provides some corresponding suggestions.The main research method of this thesis is observation and interview. Taking a provincial-level demonstrative kindergarten named A kindergarten in Changsha as an example, this study randomly selects three classes from three grades in A kindergarten, and then carries out the observation about the six teachers from those classes on their guiding behaviors in singing activities.This study is carried out from the following five aspects:Chapter I is an introduction, and mainly discusses the background and significance of the topic, including the origin of the problem, the definition of the basic theories and relative concepts, the research summary from home and abroad, and the research objectives, etc.Chapter II is a research design, which includes two parts: the choice and application of research method; the design of the tool used in the observation about teachers’ guiding behaviors in singing activities.Chapter III is a careful analysis of the teachers’ guiding behaviors in singing activities. In addition to the data statistics, the study makes a deep analysis about teachers’ behaviors by comparing different teaching processes, different age classes as well as different teachers(novice teachers and skillful teachers).Chapter IV is a discussion on the result of the research, which includes the analysis about the features of the teachers’ guiding behaviors in kindergarten singing activities and exploration of other factors.Chapter V is the conclusion of this thesis, which firstly summarizes the teachers ’ guiding behaviors in singing activities and provides some corresponding suggestions, pointing out that teachers’ professional quality should be improved and the external environment support should strengthened, and finally makes a reflection about the thesis.
