A Study On The Relationship Between The Fit And The Withdrawal Of University Graduate

After the implementation of college enrollment policy,the number of our country’s university graduates soaring, at the same time, it has caused great impact on our country’s employment problem of the university graduates. At present,the university graduates generally had the idea that they would be unemployed when they graduated, so that they took a series of negative attitudes and behaviors in the face of the problem of employment, namely withdrawal.Therefore, this study mainly used the questionnaire survey to explore the relationship between fit(person job fit,person organization fit) and the university graduates’ withdrawal, as well as the moderating role of family socioeconomic status. We used Cable and DeRue’s(2002)questionnaire to measure the person job fit. Then, Gregory’s( 2010) questionnaire for the person organization fit;ZouYuzhu’s(2013)questionnaire for the family socioeconomic status; Griepentrog( 2012) and Giumetti’s( 2011)questionnaire for the university graduates’ withdrawal. Our survey began in some universities of Hunan Changsha, which consisted of 250 university graduates. Besides, the research used statistical software SPSS17.0 to reliability and validity testing, correlation analysis, regression analysis,adjusting effect test and so on.The results showed that:(1) The person job fit had a negative effect on the university graduates’ withdrawal. When the person job fit was high, the probability of the university graduates’ withdrawal was decreased.(2) The person organization fit had a negative effect on the university graduates’ withdrawal. When the person organization fit was high, the probability of the university graduates’ withdrawal was decreased.(3) The family socioeconomic status acted as a moderator which moderated the relationship between the person job fit and the university graduates’ withdrawal.(4) The family socioeconomic status acted as a moderator which moderated the relationship between the person organization fit and the university graduates’ withdrawal.Finally, the limitations and future research directions and suggestions of this study were discussed.
