As the force team of the college teaching group, young college teachers show their superiorities like young age and strong learning ability. With the development of college education, improving the quality of teaching takes priority over the others. So not only facilities should been improved, but also soft facilities like school-running idea and teacher management need to be improved if the quality of teaching has to be improved. And teacher management matters the most. Improving the quality of working life of young college teachers and achieving the growth of college education is a main concern of researchers and administrators.This thesis takes young college teachers of Hang Zhou as research subject, and we create a scale of quality of working life based on the existing research results. We also talk about teachers’ personality traits, which may affect one’s quality of working life. We take it as independent variables, QWL as the dependent variable, to see how personality traits affect QWL. We did a research on the 217 young college teachers in Hang Zhou. Through the analysis of the data collected by the questionnaire by SPSS statistics20.0, we get the following conclusions:On the 1st part of research, we construct a pattern of QWL, which includes personal dimension, working dimension, organizational dimension and social dimension. Personal dimension includes growth expectation and Pleasure feeling, working dimension includes job requirements and personal emolument, organizational dimension includes organizational harmony and work flexibility, social dimension includes welfare and social approval. On the 2nd part of research, we use NEO Five-Factor Inventory (NEO-FFI) to know teachers’ personalities. Finally, we arrive at the following conclusion:1. the pattern of QWL of young college teachers in Hang Zhou consist of personal dimension, working dimension, organizational dimension and social dimension, which fit well with the whole structure. And job requirements of personal dimension show negative correlation with QWL.2. QWL of teachers influenced by different personality traits. Neuroticism has negative correlation with QWL and Openness to experience^ Extraversio、Agreeableness、Conscientiousness is significant correlated with QWL. According to the research, some policy proposals have been put forward:(1) increasing the investment in teacher management by GOV. like raise the wages of teacher; (2) As for school, clear understanding of applicants’ career interests while recruiting; (3) appropriate adjustment of teacher assessment which may make teachers stressful; (4) provide platform for learning and interpersonal relations; (5) as for teacher, learn to regulate stress and to improve professional skills.
