Nowadays the information age bought people new life and new methods of learning, as an important information carrier, the non-continuous text has attracted people’s attention, and the reform of Chinese teaching also puts forward the idea of teaching non-continuous text timely. The study of non-continuous text could develop students’ ability of multi-reading, enhance the consciousness of collecting and using information, reduce their learning burden, and finally prepare for autonomous learning in the whole life. With documentary analysis, comparative analysis, and the analysis of teaching cases, this article will from four aspects discuss the feasibility of non-continuous text in Chinese reading teaching.First of all, to know exactly what non-continuous text reading teaching is, the author clarified two concepts: non-continuous text is an imaginable and intermittent text, usually send messages in forms, formatted data, graphical text and so on. In Chinese reading teaching, the non-continuous text has the same sources but different forms with continuous text, it is the combination of read- think- do; on the basis of this meaning, then, to give teachers and students, Chinese teaching and social development better service, through collecting various types of text and comparing non-continuous text reading with continuous text reading, the author summed up some characters of the non-continuous text and some of the style and feeling when students read it.Secondly, answer the question "why we should teach them". The author discussed the importance and practical significance of non-continuous text reading teaching, through analyzing the current situation of Chinese reading teaching, so teachers and students could fully understand that the reading of non-continuous text is an important bridge to union school education with life. In this way, the school textbook will be better used and gradually improve students’ comprehensive reading ability.Thirdly, combined with some research of real teaching cases, the author wants to explore possible ways to practice the non-continuous text reading teaching. At the same time, the author puts forward five principles under the guidance of modern teaching idea: 1, the principle of intuitive selection; 2, the principle to reserve "Chinese flavor" in teaching; 3, based on the text and multi-dimensional interpretation to; 4, combining partly interpretation and the overall analysis together; 5, training reading thinking hierarchy.Finally, discuss "how to teach" in the Chinese reading teaching. In order to establish a new mode of text reading teaching, to improve the efficiency of primary and middle school Chinese teaching, to provide references for the promotion of students’ comprehensive and personalized development, the author explores effective text teaching strategies as a typical example, from the creation of teaching atmosphere, the selection of reading text, the guidance of reading methods and the cultivation of reading habits and literacy and so on.
