Suzhou is one of the most developed cities in Jiangsu province, then how are the students’ physical conditions in junior middle school there? It has become an important reason of physical impact that students lack of physical exercise, which is worthy of further discussion and research. Finding the intrinsic relationship of physical activity and physique can provide a theoretical basis for improving the physique of students. Objective:This study takes Luxu Middle School in Suzhou as an example, which aims to know the physique fact and physical activity of students of Suzhou, and analyze the correlation of physique and physical activity. It will compare the differences of physical activity and physique in students between different grades and different sex, and explore the factors that may affect physical activity of junior middle school’ students, which will provide scientific basis to improve the level of students’ physical activity and physique of Suzhou middle schools. Methods:This study tests the physique of 657 students in Luxu Middle school, which includes height, weight, vital capacity, 50m, standing long jump, Solid ball,1000m/800m. And I give out "Bouchard Physical Activity Questionnaire" and Pedometers (Yamax Digi-walker701) to 280 students, recording the number of daily walk for a week. Then use Excel and SPSS to analyze the datum. Results: l.The heights of boys among three grades have significant difference (p<0.01). The BMI between boys and girls in the first grade and that between boys and girls in the second grade have significant difference (p<0.05). The number of weekend ambulation between boys and girls of Grade Two has significant difference (p<0.05). The number of weekend ambulation between boys and girls of Grade Three has significant difference (p<0.05).2. The number of weekend ambulation between boys and girls of junior middle school and physique scores shows significant correlation, and correlation coefficient are 0,200(p<0.01) and 0.157(p<0.05). The time of sit quietly at weekend and weekdays and students’ BMI has significant correlation, which are 0.143 (p<0.05) and 0.111 (p<0.05).3. Parents’ degree of education has significant influence to students’physique (P<0.01). Parents’ attitude of children taking part in PE and children’ physique scores shows significant correlation (P<0.01). The number of exercise places and equipments around house has significant influence to students’ physique scores (P<0.01). The degree of students’ interest and students’ physique scores have significant correlation (p<0.05). The number of friends around himself (or herself) has significant influence to students’ physique (P<0.01). And the physique scores of students who take bus to school are significant less than that of those who walk (p<0.05)or ride(P<0.01) to school. Conclusions:1.There is no difference of height between boys and girls in first grade, but boys are better than girls on speed, endurance and power. Boys are better than girls on height, weight, speed, endurance and power.2. The physique of the students is almost the same as that of all southern regions, but the proportion of overweight and obesity are higher than southern region.3. It has a certain relationship of physical activity and physique, physical activity on weekends has larger impact on physique. High-intensity physical activity has large impact on power and speed. Moderate-intensity physical activity has a large impact on endurance quality.4. It has a certain relationship of physique and education level, occupation, the parents’ attitudes, community sports environment, friends, the students’ attitudes, transportation.
