Since the 1990 s, the problem of teacher professional development has been on the agenda.It should be said that the teacher’s professional development from closed to open is the world education development trend.In the 21 st century, many countries around the world are focusing on teacher’s development. Those who wins the teachers of reform and development in the 21 st century will win the education of the 21 st century, which has become a common consensus. In addition, our country began curriculum reform in 2004 for the basic education which puts forward new requirements to teachers. People began to realize the importance of teachers’ professional development. New curriculum reform not only brought opportunities to teachers but also brought challenges to teachers, because it puts forward more requirements on teachers, Such as it puts forward a new teaching idea、teaching method、the requirement for teachers’ role conversion and so on. Therefore, in response to the new curriculum reform teachers should improve their own quality as soon as possible to face the challenge, especially those teachers in rural school. The development of English teachers is going to be one of the key factors of the success of new curriculum reform, so we need to pay more attention on it. Only the continuous improvement of teachers’ professional development level can ensure the high level of quality education. Many researchers at home and abroad have been exploring the teachers’ professional development from different perspectives. Government level have also launched a variety of reforms of teachers’ professionalization, such as depending on the level of education to provide teachers with prior training and on-the-job training.At present,the traditional pattern of teacher professional development in our country is given priority to colleagues introduce the stage experience,criticism of lesson inspection and experts theoratical explanation,its main target is the transfer of knowledge and technology, the administration leading from top to bottom as its main characteristics. This pattern has many problems and limitations, it is generally believed that the teachers’ quality at schools of levels in our country is low, the academic level is not so high.As a result,it is difficult to meet the requirements of the new curriculum reform. Based on this situation, educators in our country have put forward a lot of ways to optimize the mode of teachers’ professional development, such as some scholars believe that action research is an important path to implement teachers professional development, they also evaluate the importance of action research in the teachers’ professional development from different perspective, concluding that action research is helpful to solve the practical problem such as education or teaching, improve the teachers’ team cooperation ability, increase the teachers’ confidence to the future. There is no doubt that the appearance of action research promote the change of the education research mode and the development of education science. "Collaborative community" is a research team consisting of experts in curriculum and teaching theory and in-service teachers from basic education, this team make the teachers who have a common desire collaborate voluntarily, through communicate with each other, showing their teaching ideas, teaching experiment and the teaching perplexity sincerely,The team members reflecte,reconstruct and expand their ideas of education and teaching behavior, to achieve the purpose of helping each other, complement each other, makingwin-win progress and improving together. In the Internet age, three are a lot means of communication between members of the cooperation body, such as E-mail, twitter, video and so on. Action research is a common research methods adopted by the cooperative community.This case study investigated a collaborative action research community composed of several college English curriculum theory experts and two of the first grade of English teachers’, The mainly question of this study discusses is :1) wether the teachers have changes or not in the process of building the collaborative action research community? 2)what factors contributed to these changes?This study took one year. there are many research methods, such as interview、questionnaire、observation and so on. The way of Data collectionare recording、interview、meeting records and so on, the result through comparison and analysis to data reflect the community members’ teaching thought and teaching methods before and after the study.The results of this study is that all teachers make great progress in the process of building the collaborative action research community,especially for the in-service junior high school english teachers’ teaching method、education concept、scientific research ability. At the same time, the establishment of the commumity also narrow the distance between college experts and in-service junior high school teachers.In addition, compared with the traditional model, the collaborative action research commumity is an independent mode, the members of this group achieve win-win development in the atmosphere of equality、freedom and harmony.
