As an important literary genre, novel has its important position in the middle school language teaching, especially in senior high school language teaching. Setting Chinese textbooks in Jiangsu Education Edition as the research object, this paper analyzes the selection of novels in Chinese textbook in senior high school as well as the impact of the novel teaching Firstly, this paper analyzes the quantity, quality, and the arrangement of selective teaching materials and points out the existing problems as well as the impact of the novel teaching; then, it analyzes in detail that the selection of teaching materials is not appropriate for the novel teaching; finally the author’s suggestions on Chinese textbook for senior high school compiling and teaching of senior high school students are put forward under the guidance of the relevant theory:a novel selection should be consistent with the acceptance and appreciation level of the high school students and take the classic and the times into account. A novel selection should increase the amount and rich the types of fiction, and literature of the teaching materials should be added as well; novel teaching should be interpreted from various angles, returning to literature reading. It is hoped that the senior high school students’ level of the novel reading and appreciation ability from the novel’s selection to the teaching can really be improved. |
