Cooperative learning has received many attentions from educators since the beginning of the New Curriculum Reform, and has become one of the hottest topic. In Guang Xi, the cooperative learning has also become important in the basic education since the New Curriculum Reform started in 2012. Up to now, it has been widely used in various teaching practice. This research aims to study the implementation of cooperative learning in Guang Xi senior politics. The issues that will be studied are, for example, current status of the cooperative learning, an investigation of the achievements, the existing problems. According to this study, it is expected that we can know more about the cooperative learning, especially, the problems arise during its implementation. Also, we expect to find some solutions to these problems. The study of cooperative learning here is not only valuable for the teaching of senior politics but also for the New Curriculum ReformThis study focuses both theory and methods. Regarding the theoretical study, a survey on the cooperative learning is conducted where fundamental concepts and theories are introduced. Also, an analysis of different views of cooperative learning from different scholars is performed, which is further served as a basis for the definition of some important terminologies. The existing achievements on cooperative learning is a strong theoretical foundation for our research. However, in terms of improving the effect of cooperative learning in senior politics, the characteristics of this course should be more considered. Thus, it is believed that teaching practice of senior politics should be, of course, guided by relevant learning theories, but should also pay more attention to the implementation of specific operational level. Regarding the methods, the issue is studied empirically using both quantitative and qualitative methods. Some fruitful results have achieved since the promotion of new curriculum reform in Guang Xi in 2012. In this study,20 representative schools from different places are chosen as samples. Data regarding the cooperative learning in senior politics are first collected by a random investigation of both teachers and students, and is then analyzed using the SPSS 16 statistical tool. To reach a solid research conclusion, this study has used literature, interviews, classroom observation and other methods. The results are believed to provide a broader perspective on the teaching of senior politics, also offers necessary theoretical and practical supports for the further implementation of cooperative learning.According to the study, it is found that cooperative learning has received many attentions in senior politics in Guang Xi, and many teachers have tried some implementations. However, there are also some issues, for example, an inappropriate group of cooperative learning team, inappropriate tasks assignment, inappropriate evaluation system, that deserve more attentions. Towards solutions of these issues, it is found that some teachers have not fully understand the meaning of cooperative learning, and they themselves do not have collaborative ideas. Also, a lack of effective transformations from the cooperative learning to the teaching practice capabilities and limitations of the current high school education objective environment for classroom practices are the cause of these problems arise in the implementation of cooperative learning.Based on empirical research findings and theories of cooperative learning, some recommendations are provided for the implementation of cooperative learning in Guangxi senior politics. Changing the concepts of education of teachers, and making a correct understanding of cooperative learning; Stimulating learning needs of teachers so as to enhance the teaching and training effect; Constructing an appropriate learning group, building a cooperation platform; Allocating cooperation tasks appropriately so as to ensure the responsibility; Creating a scientific evaluation system so as to show the capabilities of students; improve the existing external environment so as to enhance the effect cooperative learning.There are a variety of ways that this study can be improved even further. For example, because of the limited human and material resources, the scope of the investigation has not covered everything. It is expected that by considering more samples, a more statistically sound result can be achieved. Also, the author expects to have suggestions and help from experts on the research of effect of cooperative learning.
