With the heating up of "Chinese fervor" in the world, the number of foreign Chinese learners are increasing, and Chinese learning is showing a trend of younger age, a growing number of kindergarten started the Chinese language course. In Thailand, the trend is especially apparent. However, compared with the Chinese teaching of teenagers and adults, which have already formed a particular suitable teaching methods and modes for Thailand native learners, Thailand’s children Chinese teaching experience and theory research was inadequate. How to combine the local actual situation and the learning characteristics of young children and practical teaching methods, create some suitable modes in Chinese teaching for pre-school children, to improve and promote children’s Chinese language teaching in Thailand, is a subject worth to exploring.In this paper, combined the teaching experience at Fahmin Konglei School Kindergarten in Chumphon, Thailand and the related theories in areas such as pre-school education, child psychology, pedagogy, the second language acquisition, teaching Chinese as a foreign language, I put forward a basic idea of Short-Class-Mode of Chinese teaching for children. In the 10-months teaching process. Through the observations, experiments and investigations, the author adjusted and consummated the Short-Class-Mode in Chinese teaching for children continuously, analyzed the conditions about realization of this teaching mode, put forward the layered structure, intuitive, interesting, repeatability, emotion motivation, as the five principles of Short-Class-Mode, and summarized the skills in teaching contents selection, layout and class teaching, I also introduced some class-activities which have achieved good results in the teaching practice.This paper is divided into four parts:the first part is introduction, in this part I mainly elaborated the the background of selecting such a topic, the significance of the selected topic and reviewed some related researches, such as the research of children learning the second language, the research of the mode of teaching Chinese as a second language, and the current situation of Chinese teaching for pre-school children in Thailand in academic circles, and then introduces the research methods of this article. The second part introduces the relevant theories about "teaching mode", and defines the concept of Short-Class-Mode of Chinese teaching for children in Thailand, put forward the teaching objectives, analyzes the feasibility of this teaching mode in both theory and reality. The third part discusses the principles of the Short-Class-Mode of Chinese teaching for children, and makes a complet description in organization and practice of the teaching model. The fourth part gets conclusion to this paper.
