Quality Assurance System Of The Qualification And Credit Framework(QCF) In UK

Vocational qualification certificates provide security for members of the workforce to get a job. UK has the best vocational qualification certificate system all over the world. UK vocational qualification certificate system is constantly reforming. In January 2012, UK formally implemented the QCF. The QCF makes up the defect of the NQF.Compared with the NQF, QCF is more accessible, flexible and inclusive. The features make it possible to play a more important role in vocational qualification certificates and enable it to serve learners and employers better. After four years of implementation, QCF achieved remarkable results, and contributed to the communication of general education and vocational education largely. It will promotes lifelong learning of citizens and help UK build a learning society. Finally, it will be able to raise the level of the UK economy and international competitiveness.This paper includes three parts:The first part is the introduction of this paper. It clarifies the origin of the study, the purpose and significance of the study and the research methods and ideas. It also analyzes the current research and defines the related concepts involved in the paper.The second part analyzes the background of the QCF and its theoretical foundation and the evolution of UK vocational qualification certificate system in detail. In this part, it also discusses the drawbacks and deficiencies of the NQF and the developing process of the QCF.The third part analyzes the content and characteristics of the QCF.In the fourth part, I analyze and discuss the QCF evaluation criteria, the content of assessment, the methods of assessment and the principles of assessment in detail.The fifth section analyzes those factors provide quality assurance for the QCF, includes organization, personnel and funding, etc.。In the sixth part, I analyze the features of quality assurance system for the QCF.
