Primary school English curriculum standard emphasizes that the English curriculum should change the tendency of attaching more importance to grammar and vocabulary, the trend of attaching less importance to cultivating students’ability of using language; the curriculum standard also emphasizes that English course should proceed from students’interest, experience and level of cognition, advocates the method of experiencing,practicing,participating,cooperating and communicating and task based learning to develop students comprehensive abilities of using language.By reading and settling a number of documents,concluding research status from domestic and overseas, the writer has found although it is very widespread to study English situational teaching, the search for comprehensive application of fictitious situation and real situation is ratherly poor. Thus, The direction of the study is determined. During the teaching practice, the writer surveyed the English teaching situation of Grade Four in N primary school, Xixia district, Yinchuan by observing and interviewing,and found out there are highlighting issues on English situational teaching, which gives rise to students’low interest in learning English and low English level. Facing with some highlighting issues on English teaching of Grade Four, the writer designed a teaching context whose topic is "doing an environmental protection guardian" in the research and carried it out in the real life, which will deepen spoken English teaching of primary school in many contexts to make students study language, use language and develop language skill. After studying and practicing, students’correct their attitudes to learn English, improve their interest and confidence in learning English and dare to communicate with others in English. However, improving whole oral English level of students is not obvious because of the writer’s lack of teaching experience and short of practicing time. The writer believes continuing the teaching method will have a good effect to improve students’ability to communicate with others in English, at the same time, the writer hopes this paper can offer a mirror and reference for English teaching.
