As a teaching system and strategy, cooperative study is recognized in many countries, which as introduced to China s ince 1990 s. In “The course standard of Chinese of compulsory education ”(draft), the teachers should encourage the students to study in the spirit of self dependence, cooperation and exploratory. Meanwhile, in “the course standard of Chinese for the senior school” it presents that the teachers should encourage cooperative study, improve the exchanges of the students’ and make progress mutually. Therefore, the cooperative study has been utilized into Chinese teaching quickly.After surveyed 500 students and 20 teachers, in NO.1 and NO.2 middle school in Genhe, the writer found it is lack of efficiency of the ancient Chinese teaching in Genhe. By means of the statistics, experience, documentary researching and case researching, the writers find that the key factors are as follows. First, owing to the characters of ancient Chinese, it is too simple in style, too sophisticated in meaning for the students to understand. Second, the teaching patterns are the teacher-oriented; therefore, the students were neglected. Third, under the c ircumstance of results--oriented, most teachers pay more attentions to the scores not the cultivating of the exploring ability.It is obvious that the situation can not satisfy the demands of the Chinese teaching. On the basis of analyzing the problems, this article is composed to solve the problems.The introduction of this paper is consisting of the meaning of the research, the definition of the key words, the research methods, the structure of the paper and literature review.The first part is basically the analyzing of the teaching situation in Genhe, with the help of investigation of teaching material, teachers and students.The second part is the study on the Cooperative study of the ancient Chinese teaching in middle school in Genhe, and the reasons to the ineffic iency.The third part, the most important part of the paper is on the grouping strategy, design strategy, control strategy and evaluating strategy in the ancient Chinese teaching in middle school.It is hoped that the paper can conclude some strategies in cooperative study of the ancient Chinese teaching in midd le school in Genhe. which will be beneficial to the future teaching reference in this area.
