The classical poetry is the soul of Chinese people.It affects and enlightens the people,including ancient and modern,home and abroad with its concise lauguage, abundant emotions, vivid images,rich cultural connotations, outstanding writing skills and deep national spirit.The teaching of how to appreciate ancient poems has a responsibility to pass down and develop this traditional culture.Particularly the appreciation teaching of ancient poems in senior high school is a crucial period in which students'ability to appreciate ancient poems will be trained and improved greatly.Therefore, a timely and effective research on appreciation teaching of ancient poems will not only be beneficial to promoting deep reform and development of Chinese teaching,but also make immeasurable contributions to improving people's overall qualities and to realising people's all-round development. Therefore, the academic and practical significance of studying the effectiveness of appreciation teaching of ancient poems in senior high school can not be ignored.This paper discusses the issue in three chapters and its brief content is as follows. Chapter one :Based on the discussion about the historiacl and current situation of teaching how to apperciate ancient poems in senior high school.We study the situation of appreciation teaching of ancient poems before and after the curriculum reform in general and we are optimistic generally.Then we analyse the problems exsiting in the appreciation teaching of ancient poems and reasons for the problems. Chapter two:We illustrate the concept of effectiveness of teaching and its theoretical basis,especially expounding"Optimal Theories"raised byЮрийКонстиновичБабанский.Furthermore we explain the concrete standards of effectiveness of teaching in detail, effectiveness showed in the appreciation teaching of ancient poems and the analysis of how to evaluate the effectiveness . Chapter three:This chapter is the key and core of this paper. Mainly based on the strategies of how to carry out the effectiveness in the appreciation teaching of ancient poems according to the new curricular standards.We discuss the strategies in three aspects, namely promotion of teachers'quality,transformation of reading concept and implementation of effective teaching.Moreover,we analyse and illustrate six strategies.
