Parental rearing style directly affect the junior high school students’ academic procrastination.Meanwhile, parental rearing style indirectly affect the junior high school students’academic procrastination through perfectionism.In Henan province,581 junior high school students take part in the questionnaire survey. This study uses the procrastination Assessment Scale-Students(PASS),the Chinese Frost Multidimensional Perfectionism Scale(CFMPS) and short-Egna Minnen av Barndoms Uppfostran for Chinese(s-EMBU-C).The main conclusion are as following:1. Junior high school students learning delay degree is not serious.Boys scored higher than girls(p<0.001); city students scored higher than rural students (p<0.01);the students of grade 9 scored the highest than other grades.2. Father rearing style and academic procrastination have a very close relationship.Father’s emotional warmth factor and academic procrastination have significant negative correlation(p<0.001).Father’s refuse factor and academic procrastination have significant positive correlation(p<0.001).3. Mother rearing style and academic procrastination have a very close relationship.Mother’s emotional warmth factor and academic procrastination have significant negative correlation(p<0.001).Mother’s refuse factor and academic procrastination have significant positive correlation(p< 0.001).Mother’s excessive protection factor and academic procrastination have significant positive correlation(p<0.001).4.Perfectionism and academic procrastination have a very close relationship.Positive perfectionism and academic procrastination have significant negative correlation(p<0.001).Negative perfectionism and academic procrastination have significant positive correlation(p<0.001).5.
