Education is the basis of a country’s development, and teachers are the soul of the education, so, the level of teachers is the key factor of the education’s development. Nowadays, China has entered the Information Age, and information has effected all sizes of our country deeply, so as the teachers’ ethics construction. In recent years, many teachers’ ethics problems has been reported by internet, such as, some teachers abused student, some teachers raped students, and some teachers organized students took test for others. These problems drawn much attention from the society, and it showed that there were some teachers’ ethic problems should be solved.This paper based on the background of "information age", and studied related issues of the teachers’ ethic construction of our country. At first, this paper researched the definition and characteristics of the teacher ethics in Chinese traditional culture. Then, this paper talked about the connotation and characteristics of the teacher’s ethic combined with the background of Information Age. In addition, the article analyzed the major problems of Chinese teachers’ethic in the information age, and researched the reasons from the government, schools, society environment and teachers’self-cultivation. Finally, this paper was committed to put forward countermeasures and Suggestions to promote the teachers’ethic construction.This paper was divided to seven parts. The first part is the introduction to this paper. The second part is the connotation and inspiration of teachers’ethic in Chinese traditional culture. The third part is the characteristics and present situation of the teachers’ethics in the information age. The forth part is the major teachers’ethic problems in the information age. The fifth part is the reason that caused these problems. The sixth part is the suggestions to promote the teachers’ethic construction. The last part is the conclusion of this paper. This article expounds following views.1. Education played an important role in the development of Chinese culture, and there were many classic ideas about the teacher’s ethic. In the ancient China, the teacher’s ethic was the most import standard to evaluate a teacher, and the teacher’s ethic contained the teacher’s moral level, teaching ways and knowledge level. The teacher’s ethic construction in the information age can learned many ideas from the traditional culture, such as, put more attention to the teacher’s ethic construction, and take advantages of the society supervision.2. The connotation of teachers’ ethic is more extensive in information age, and ethics affect a wider range, factors increasing ethics and morality construction supervision is becoming increasingly difficult and other features. Although education management department has mad great efforts and has made certain achievements, but the ethics problems still occur.3. Nowadays, there are still many teachers’ethic problems and product great effects through the internet. At present, China’s ethics problems are mainly reflected such aspects:teacher-student relationship indifferent, weakening the collective spirit of collaboration, ideological and political tendencies fade, utilitarian tendency is obvious, academic misconduct is difficult to contain, spirit of self-cultivation is not enough and the lack of morality and knowledge.4. There are many reasons that caused these problems. From the view of the government, there are such reasons:lack of morality regulatory system, the absence of ethics regulators, the irrational teachers’ recruitment and selection system, and unreasonable teacher pay system. Schools also have responsibilities, such as: unreasonable teacher performance evaluation mechanism and inadequate teacher training system. Besides, the society adds too much utilitarian concepts to the education and lack of respect for teachers. In addition, some teachers lack of career awareness.5. Teachers’ ethic construction need many departments and people work together, such as, the related government, schools, society, and teachers. Specifically, the government should play the role of regulators. To promote the teachers’ ethic construction, the government should promulgate related laws, sound ethics and regulatory organizations foster system, improve teacher recruitment and selection system, build a reasonable teacher pay system. Schools should pay more attention to teachers’ ethic construction, such as, improve teacher performance appraisal mechanism and communication system. In addition, the public should create a good social atmosphere, such as, put more attention to education, give more respect to teachers and supervise teachers’behavior actively. At last, teachers should improve their moral and knowledge level actively.
