ObjectiveTo study Job satisfaction, effort-reword imbalance, job burnout situation of nursery teachers and the contributing factors so as to provide the basis for making plan on nursery teachers’ mental health.Methods60 kindergartens from Haishu District, Ningbo, Zhejiang Province and 40 kindergartens from Zhouxiang Town, Cixi were drawn by cluster sampling and were then investigated. Six hundred questionnaires were given out which included basic situation, minnesota satisfaction questionnaire (MSQ), maslach burnout inventory questionnaire (MBI-GS), effort-reword imbalance (ERI), self-rating depression scale (SDS). The data were analyzed using SPSS19.0 software. Descriptive analysis, t-test, one-way anova and multivariate regression analysis were used to research the current situation and the factors influencing job burnout of nursery teachers.Result1、The average scores of four dimensions of nursery teachers in job satisfaction, job burnout, effort-reword imbalance and self-rating depression were (3.494±0.624), (2.305±0.857), (2.424±0.608) and (1.778±0.435), respectively. The scores above average were considered statistically significant. There were 192 teachers whose score were above 2.5, the number of which accounted for 32.00% of the total number.2、The rate of job burnout of nursery teachers was 35.89%. Univariate analysis showed that there were significant difference in rate of job burnout between urban and rural areas, among different grades, among different monthly wages, among different education levels (P<0.05). The rate of job burnout were higher in town, senior, low salary and high level education group.3、Multivariate analysis showed that literacy, emotion at work, effort-reward imbalance were positively correlated with job burnout (P<0.05).4、T test results showed that job satisfactory and job burnout between urban and rural areas were significantly different (P<0.05), the scores of satisfaction and burnout of urban nursery teachers were higher than those of rural ones.5、F test results showed that only job burnout among different teaching classes has statistically significant difference (P<0.05), with burnout of preschool significantly higher than that of other classes and burnout of younger class significantly lower than other classes.6、Only job satisfaction were significantly different among different salary levels (P<0.05). The higher the wages, the higher the degree of job satisfaction.7、F test results showed that job burnout and effort-reword imbalance among the different education levels had statistically significant difference (P<0.05). By variance analysis of teachers of the lowest, the highest and medium degree of education, the lowest and the highest group had higher MBI and ERI scores than those of the medium degree group.8、Multiple linear regression analysis was carried out using dimension score of job burnout as the dependent variable and the other dimensions and basic information as the independent variables. The results were shown in Table 8. Effort-reward imbalance and education degree were positively correlated to job burnout (P<0.05). Standardized regression coefficient indicated that effort-reward imbalance was the most important factor nfluencing job burnout. Collinearity diagnostics results showed there was no collinearity among the independent variables. The adjusted R square was 0.298, indicating that the contribution degree of dependent variables on independent variable was relatively great. Equation inspection results showed that F value was 20.286 (P< 0.001), suggesting that the equation is reasonable. The DW value was 1.729, indicating that there was no autocorrelation. The regression coefficient of effort-reward imbalance to job burnout was 0.696, which was the most important one in all of the investigated factors.9、Multiple linear regression analysis was carried out using dimension score of minnesota satisfaction as the dependent variable and the other dimensions and basic information as the independent variables. The results were summarized in Table 9. Effort-reward imbalance, urban or rural areas and teaching experiences were negatively correlated to job satisfaction, and monthly pay was positively associated with job satisfaction (P<0.05). Standardized regression coefficient again indicated that effort-reward imbalance was the most important factor influencing job satisfaction. Collinearity diagnostics results showed there was no collinearity among the independent variables. The adjusted R square was 0.134, indicating that the contribution degree of dependent variables to independent variable was relatively great. Equation inspection results showed that F value was 8.039 (P<0.001), suggesting that the equation is reasonable. The DW value was 1.585, indicating that there was no autocorrelation. The regression coefficient of effort-reward imbalance to job burnout was-0.308, which was the most important one in all of the investigated factors.10、We carried out multiple linear regression analysis using dimension score of self-rating depression as the dependent variable and the other dimensions and basic information as the independent variables. Table 10 showed the detailed results. Effort-reward imbalance was positively correlated to job emotion (P<0.05). Collinearity diagnostics results showed there was no collinearity among the independent variables. The adjusted R square was 0.406, indicating that the contribution degree of dependent variables to independent variable was relatively great. Equation inspection results showed that F value was 8.468 (P< 0.001), suggesting that the equation is reasonable. The DW value was 1.846, indicating that there was no autocorrelation. The regression coefficient of effort-reward imbalance to job burnout was 0.283, which was the most important one in all of the investigated factors.Conclusion1. Job burnout of nursery teachers is closely associated with literacy, emotion at work and effort-reward imbalance.2. Standard of culture, job depression, effort-reward imbalance were positively correlated to job burnout.3. Effort-reward imbalance is the major factor influencing job burnout compared with culture degree, wages, job satisfaction and depression..
