With the rapid development of information technology and constantly updated education philosophy, the flip classroom teaching mode dating from the United States has been widespread concerned around the world in recent years. Since 2011, our country pay great attention to the development of information technology in education, the flipped classroom fitted the background and added vitality to our educational information career. The flip classroom reversed learning new knowledge during class and understanding the knowledge after class, that is, learning new knowledge before class and enhancing understanding knowledge during class. in this way, the flip classroom can break the traditional teaching pattern and create a more interactive environment between teachers and students during class, thus paying more attention to students’ learning methods and processes conducive to long-term development of students. This paper designed a research by means of empirical research and literature study, through questionnaires and interviews from both theoretical and practical perspectives to have a further understanding and exploration about flipped classroom. This paper is divided into five parts, namely the introduction, theoretical overview, investigation, model design and summary. Firstly, analyzing the status quo of flipped classroom, then do the feasibility analysis of applying the flipped classroom to the information technology curriculum in high school. Finally, designed a teaching model and implemented it through a curriculum named "tabular information processing", and discovered the strengths and weaknesses in practice.Chapters Ⅰ and Ⅱ is the basis of the study, writer’s work include reading the relevant literature, combing flipped classroom research status overall and indicating research methods used in this paper. The second chapter is the definition of flipping the classroom, theoretical foundation, as well as a case study, designed to pave the way for the future of teaching.Chapters Ⅲ, Ⅳ and Ⅴ is the empirical part, analyzing the feasibility of applying the concept of flipping the classroom to high school IT classroom. The fourth part designed a flipped classroom instructional design model based on the analysis of the existing teaching practice. In the fifth chapter, the model is exampled in a high school information technology class and got a final result of the experiment. The sixth chapter is the conclusion of the paper, summing the advantages and disadvantages of flipped classroom-based design model through interviews with teachers and students.
