The career education is necessary not only for personal career but also for the development of the society. In contrast to some developed countries where has been systemic career education in their education system, in China, we has not applied it enough in practice to influence students’career choice actually, despite of the emphasis recently. Compared with the developed career education with a complete system and abounding content in some developed countries, in our current test books, there is almost vacant yet in this area. However, in the period of high school, when students have begun to pay attention to the social status of career, the social evaluation, and the personal interesting, if parents and schools are unable to contact the students’ development in future with the career, students’ cognition and development would be effected and furthermore in some situation even some social problem might be brought. As far as the teacher concerned, constructing a career content in textbooks is a feasible method to add career knowledge to routine teaching.In the article, on the base of the relative content in two government police files, National medium and long-term plan for education reform and development and The implementation opinion on deepening the reform of examination recruitment system, I analysis the construction method and the feature of the career education content in America and Australia physics textbooks. I also survey the current situation about the application of the career education in our country and the opinion in constructing career education in textbooks from the front-line teachers, physics professors and undergraduates. At the last, I try to construct the career education content in textbooks in forms of column, main body, activities homework and so on.In below is the conclusion 1 draw. Constructing career education content in high school textbooks is necessary as well as feasible. However, according to surveys, there is a lack of career education content in current high school textbooks, because of the stress of entering a higher school, the teaching duty and the knowledge reserve. On the basis of the successful experience abroad and construction features of the physics textbook in our country, I think several ways mentioned below would be feasible to construct the career education content in current high school textbooks: firstly, adding career column in form of interview record with successful people and the career introduction; secondly, introducing the career sense in the text with other knowledge point; thirdly, introducing career knowledge in the extracurricular reading material; the last but not the least, adding career knowledge in the routine homework and activities.
