On the basis of respecting subject knowledge structures, new curriculum of high school history conforms to the trend of comprehensiveness, personality, openness, diversity and democratization in the curriculum reform. By highlighting the function of humanistic and civil education, moving closer to the era, society and life, improving instruction methods of teachers as well as advocating self-regulated learning of students, it represents educational idea of modern disciplines.Compulsory courses module of high school history present characteristics of comprehensiveness, independence, openness and flexibility, yet they bring difficulties and challenges to module teaching of teachers. As a matter of fact, there are many problems in the compulsory textbooks of high school history, such as deep meaning of contents, big jumps between contents, poor time sequence and bad adaptability of students. In addition, with regard to the module teaching, teachers have problems like traditional teaching methods, formalistic exploration, dull teaching, insufficient historical data instruction and inadequate application of multimedia teaching. Further more, as for students, the inadequate learning interests, less learning time, unsound basic knowledge and traditional learning style also affect the teaching effect of high school history compulsory module.With regard to history teachers, they are supposed to help students to construct knowledge system, clarify clues of different modules and grasp internal relations of modules. In order to broaden thinking of students, teachers shall make them understand that the human society has experienced the process from autocracy to democracy and rule of man to rule of law as well as inevitable trend of historical development-economic globalization. Moreover, students are supposed be instructed to respect cultural traditions from each region, country and nation of the world, form historical materialism, civilized history viewpoint, modern history view, global view of history and social historiography as well as shape patriotic consciousness, international consciousness, citizen consciousness and historical consciousness. It is necessary for teachers to improve teaching methods. By introducing new lessons with pictures, poems, songs, film and television materials and suspense set-up measures, making classroom instruction more vivid, utilizing memorization of concentrated words, numbers, comparation and graphs as well as elaborately designing classroom activities like group discussion, class debate, film and television appreciation, historical play acting and historical knowledge competition, they shall stimulate the interest of students for learning. In addition, breaking textbook orders and making bold as well as reasonable integration of teaching materials are also necessary. Moreover, teachers are supposed to carry out historical data teaching, apply historical data into teaching activities and train the analysis competence, generalization ability, knowledge transfer and application ability, history thinking and problem solving ability of students.
