Information Technology has undergone enormous changes on our lives. Information Technology curriculum is being important content of school subjects for the requirements of society. Ministry of Education issued The General High School IT Curriculum Standard for the first time in April,2003. The new curriculum standards of IT change its concept and value in order to adapt to the requirements of society. That is a subject which is born and change because of social development. The IT teaching material as the main learning and teaching resources should help IT used in the production, life, all kinds of practice activities and a wide range of exchanges and cooperation through associating with student life and learning.The education always occurs in the context of people’s lives and promotes human good life."Life Education" contains human development which is the most essential things of education. It concerns about the students’ real life and growth which is included human subjectivity. So we should follow the "Life Education". The request of the New IT curriculum and life education, it is a worth area to study the relation between IT curriculum compulsory module teaching material and life.Based on above backgrounds, this paper studies three questions about senior IT Compulsory module teaching materials:First, problems and advices of IT teaching materials will be found through deeply surveys and interviews to teachers and students who are users of the teaching materials. This thesis also analysis the psychological needs of the users. Second, based on the analyzing frame of life education, the paper taking China’s map press of IT compulsory module teaching material as an example, Statistics and detailed analyzes the textbooks, CD-ROM, website by content analyzes in order to find out the good point and problems. Third, it provides some conclusions and suggestions for improvement of IT curriculum compulsory module teaching materials.With systematic and individual level of analysis through literature, questionnaires, interview and content analyzes to high school IT curriculum compulsory modules teaching materials, it is a kind of teaching materials in accordance with life education. It is mainly reflect in diversification of teaching materials, reasonable structure, abundant case about life, all kinds of activity patterns.Though we should stick to the good point of teaching materials, some problems are worth to reflection. Problems are mainly manifested in the following aspects:Lack of relevant case with natural life; less cases about setting life situation; lack of contact with other curriculums; lack of activities which reflect real life applications; less recourse. Finally, the paper proposes specific recommendations from about student Life, for students’ real life, for students’future life.
