Classical poetry connotation is extremely rich, it is a wonderful work of art in Chinese literature. The aesthetic value and artistic style are extremely unique. Besides, its language is superb, its style is elegant, and its connotation is profound. These all show the charm of classical poetry. Confucius said "no poem, no words. It is of great significance to enriching the students’ emotion, improving their aesthetic ability and sense of innovation, enhancing the literature taste, cultivating noble sentiment in the art and inheriting the national excellent traditional culture by learning the classical poetry.Classical poetry teaching is the key and difficult part in Chinese teaching of senior high school.The new curriculum reform puts forward new requirements for the high school language classroom. The classical poetry teaching, as an important part of Chinese classroom teaching in senior high school, also must be based on the requirements of the new curriculum reform constantly. With the curriculum reform gradually, we have made some gratifying achievements, but there are many problems on the Chinese classical poetry teaching in senior high school. The effective teaching is not carried out completely by some teachers no to realize the effective teaching of classical poetry. Therefore, we must change the current teaching situation of high school classical poetry to achieve effective teaching of classical poetry.The author adopts the method of questionnaire and theory with practice, puts forward the concept and characteristics of effective teaching on high school Chinese classical poetry, and points out the reality and necessity of it. Besides, the questions which are faced with the current high school Chinese classical poetry teaching are analyzed. The way of the effective teaching is studied from the preparation, implementation and evaluation strategy three angles by using the questionnaire survey. A new teaching model — three doubting and three exploration teaching model is put forward in the implementation of specific strategies, and successfully used in the classical poetry teaching practice. This research hopes to have a practical, operational guidance to the practical teaching at present.
