The quality of kindergarten education is one of the important indicators to measure the level of early childhood education development of a country or a region. Improving the quality of kindergarten education is the important topic of the early childhood education reform. Studies have shown that high quality kindergarten education will make a significant affect on the developing of young children and the society. With the publishing of “the three years action plan of early childhood education” of the second phase in our country, kindergarten education quality attracts more and more attention. The government and kindergartens are hoping to establish an evaluation system of kindergarten education quality to ensure the constant improving of education quality.Based on the self-evaluation of kindergarten education quality, focusing on kindergarten itself, this research aims to design a self-evaluation standard of kindergarten education quality to help the kindergartens to learn more about the problems existing as well as to improve their quality of education.This research mainly contains five parts:The first part is the putting forward of the reach. This part analyzes the background of research and summarize the related research such as education quality evaluation, quality of education, self-evaluation and the education quality evaluation standard, etc. The method of research and the data processing are also detailed described.The second part expounds design ideas and principles of designing of self-evaluation standard of kindergarten education quality. In this part, the specific research steps is cleared, the principles is also explained in detail, including reflecting the education objective and education reform direction, focusing on problems and improvement, attention to the maneuverability.The third part shows the process of constructing of the index system of kindergarten education quality self-evaluation standard. At first, a first-step index system is proposed according to the relevant research. Then, by revising, deleting and classifying with results of questionnaires and interviews, the eventual index system of kindergarten education quality self-evaluation standard is constructed, which concluding six primary index, 12 secondary indicators, 44 three-level indicators.The fourth part shows the process of designing of the grade standard of kindergarten education quality self-evaluation standard. At first, a first-step standard is proposed according to the relevant research. Then, by revising with results of interviews, the complete kindergarten education quality self-evaluation standard is designed.The fifth part is the practice exploration of kindergarten education quality self-evaluation standard. Trialing research in the kindergarten work practice aims to demonstrating the feasibility of this research and collecting the suggestions from kindergartens, at the same time, prospecting for further research.
