A Research On Standardization System Construction Of Wushu Chinese-english Translation

Wushu is Chinese national sport, as well as a part of Chinese culture. Xi Jinping pointed out "we need to improve the cultural level of openness, expand cultural exchanges, strengthen international communication ability and external discourse system, promote Chinese culture to the world, and safeguard the national cultural security. " Chinese Wushu Association constitution also explicitly states that " there are plans to promote the international development of Wushu." Wushu Administrative Center and the Chinese Wushu Association established 2011 as the year of Wushu Standardization.Construction of Wushu Chinese-English Translation standardization system aims at promoting Wushu Chinese-English Translation standardization, thus promoting Wushu standardization and development. In this paper, the author uses the methods of literature, statistics, comparative analysis, logical analysis, etc. to put together the research status of Wushu Chinese-English Translation standardization and other existing problems, putting forward the basic theory and framework to build Wushu Chinese-English Translation standardization system and coming to the following conclusions:1. Wushu Chinese-English Translation contains two parts, one is the some terms in common with other sports; the other is the professional Wushu terminology which is also the core work of translation.2.The character"武术"into English follows the principle:“Wushu”for the international and domestic professional communication;“Chinese Martial Arts”for international mass communication,“Wushu”for domestic mass communication.3. The basic construction theories of Wushu Chinese-English Translation standardization system include theoretical basis, the purpose and effect, principles,and methods.4. The framework of Wushu Chinese-English Translation standardization system includes dimensions and framework design. The former consists of Wushu, linguistics and grading dimensions. The latter includes four stages of planning, implementation,inspection and evaluation, improvement, each stage are specific operational tasks.5. The form of Quan Chinese-English Translation standardization system is bilingual in Chinese and English. Each Quan can be divided into more sub-levels.Each table is made of Simplified Chinese Quan name(with Pinyin), Traditional Chinese Quan name, English translation, and serial number(number and alphabet).
