During the learning process of the research study in college physics, evaluation mechanism is both a safeguard mechanism, while a guide mechanism, and its importance is self-evident. Therefore, it is necessary to establish correspondingly and scientific evaluation system, in order to make research-based learning to achieve the desired results. Through analyzed the literature and the actual survey found that although most of the physics course in colleges and universities have developed research-based learning, but the corresponding evaluation model is single and lack of targeted. Obviously it can’t develop the function of research-based learning evaluation. Therefore, the research of this paper has important theoretical value and practical value.This paper based on the background of University research-based learning and research-based learning evaluation, and illustrates the significance of the research. Through the literature analysis method analyzed the domestic and international research studies on University Research-based learning and Research-based learning evaluation. Before constructing specific evaluation mode, the paper define the concept of the research-based learning in college physics and its evaluation. And analyze the features of research-based learning in college physics and the principles and the theoretical basis of research-based learning evaluation in college physics, construct the corresponding evaluation mode as the basis. Then taking research-based learning in the curriculum of "electromagnetism" in Ningxia University for example. Evaluation mode were constructed respectively for the process and academic achievement of research-based learning, and proposed the idea of applying the scientific reasoning ability testing and evaluation scale electromagnetic BEMA to assist research-based learning evaluation in college physics. Finally, apply the evaluation mode to specific research-based learning evaluation and demonstrate the effectiveness of the evaluation mode.Trough interviews and observation find that research-based learning evaluation mode in college physics built in this paper has good results in practical applications. So it can provide a reference for future research and teaching. But there are also many shortcomings, reflected in the statistical process of evaluation results is too complicated. The determination of evaluation and weights need to be further analyzed and improved.
