Electronic schoolbag is an immediate area of research in the current world, representing a new trend of curriculum and depth of fusion research. It is a new education idea in the digital environment, including the learning methods, teaching strategies, curriculum of the course, interactive mode of change. Electronic schoolbag is changing the mode of teaching and learning with the powerful interactive function and management function but the design ideas and methods lead to different results.We find that practice is of significance importance to the course of modern education technology. However, attention paid to the students’ understanding is pretty during our current teaching process. Nowdays students are likely to accept knowledge passively and remember it mechanically. There is no denying that students won’t understand the knowledge well by adopting this learning style. Attention to students’ understanding is no doubt what roots to tree, source to water. Based on the students’ understanding, the electronic schoolbag course of modern education technology means to keep ‘Understanding’ throughout the whole design system. In addition, we need to establish new topic and question that contains logical levels. And we are expected to design strategies which can greatly promote the understanding of students. Last but not least, the achievement of this function can’t be acquired without the support of electronic schoolbag. We design modern education technology in the horizon of understanding. We design the curriculum goals, and analyze the course objectives, content, the characteristics of students and the learning process of the electronic schoolbag.Based on understanding level, the problems are divided into three types: the preliminary understanding questions, the depth understanding problems, the extensive understanding problems. Knowledge-based understanding of the electronic schoolbag is a kind of new model, which makes the problem situation as a center, makes the explored resources as the basis, takes the interaction as the basis, take s the project-based learning as an important means, makes sustainability evaluation for understanding activities. In the environment of electronic schoolbag, the important characteristics established to promote understanding of interface interaction, to promote the navigation design, to promote the knowledge of understanding learning tools, to promote the realization of the function of the electronic schoolbag to support the understanding. In environmental development part, the important characteristics are established to promote understanding of interactive interface, leading understand navigation, providing a learning tool. Through the interface, navigation, tools, and the design of the interactive level, we completed the function design. Obviously, the characteristics of understanding are not only throughout the curriculum level, but also reflect in the function level. They oppose each other also complement each other.
