| Nowadays, more and more parents are concerned about their children’s mental health because of the accidents caused by mental problems.Psychology education is also a need for quality education. This paper attempts to discipline mental health education as its purpose, and investigate mental status of high school students.The mental health education in China started late. There are mental health education in some school of some cities, but the effect is not obvious.In this paper, the data was studied by using literature research method,questionnaire survey method, case study method and case teaching method.A mental health survey was carried out on 630 students in Number Ten Middle School in Wuhai city. By referring to professor Wang Jisheng’s book“China middle school student mental health scaleâ€, I found that some students had mental problems. The eight months’ research, which was carried out from November 2013 to July 2014, Showed us that different grade students had different mental problems.As for grade one students, they just entered a new environment. Some students live in school and can’t meet their parents until weekends. They may have poor self-care ability and hardly adapt to high school life. All these lead to prominent problems. The symptoms are maladjustment, emotional instability, hosticity and interpersonal tension ets.While the second grade students and the third grade students have aleady passed this difficult period. I also interviewed some students who had poor performance in the survey. The result of the interview is beyond my expectation.Both the Survey and the interview showed that most of mental problems were caused by poor academic performance. Thus, I took "homeostasis and environment" as my research object and adapted caseteaching in class three, class six and class eight of science, from September2014 to November 2014.During my teaching, I infiltrated mental health education in teaching aims, teaching contents, teaching procedures and feedbacks. Guided by teaching aims and students’ characterstics, I created learning situation, guided interaction, summarized and applied knowledge. As a result of this teaching, students can build a knowledge network and at the same time improve their mental health condition.The results show that this kind of teaching can not only improve students’ learning interest, but also has an effect on promoting learning motivation and emotion attitude and classroom performance. So the infiltration of mental health education in biology teaching is feasible.Because of limited time and ability, there may exist immature and na?ve in this paper,which remains to be further improved. In this study, the author hopes to penetrate mental health education in teaching and get support from experts and a high school biology teachers. |
