In recent years with the fast urbanization of our country, more and more peasants have lost their land which they have depended on to survive and have been forced to be urban residents. Such identity transformation has caused a lot of problems: they can’t adapt themselves to the thinking modes,life styles, interpersonal communication, social relationship and other things of the cities. In addition, some other problems have also emerged such as these people are hard to get a job, living a hard life and facing the unreasonable structure of income and consume in these cities. At present,peasants who have lost their land and can’t adapt themselves to society have become a social issue of the whole country. Therefore this paper has put forward policy suggestions and specific solutions, like the government and some relevant departments should establish green service passages for peasants who have lost their land, build professional social worker teams,introduce new programs in a scientific and reasonable way and allocate the resources of public transportation reasonably.This paper does a lot of researches and offers solid evidences on the adaptive problems of the peasants who have lost their land in Xin Bei community of Kangbashi new area of Ordors based on field investigations,questionnaires, interviews and other methods.This paper is mainly composed of introduction, four chapters of the main body, conclusion, bibliography.The first part is introduction. This part illustrates the background of selecting this topic, the purpose, the meaning, the research approaches of this paper. In addition, this part also introduces the general research situation of such issue in and aboard.The second part is the main body which includes three chapters. The first chapter introduces the urbanization process and the situation of peasants who have been forced to live in urban areas of Kangbashi new area in detail;the second chapter describes the current situation of how these peasantsadapt themselves to urban areas based on the questionnaires and interviews of the residents and workers in the community, and analyzes the reasons of these questions;the third chapter analyzes and learns how developed areas solve such kind of questions of their own in our country, and provides some reasonable suggestions and execute solutions to solve these issues about how to help peasants who have lost their land to adapt themselves to city life based on the characteristics of social work major.The third part is conclusion. This part expresses the viewpoint of this paper again and objectively analyzes and explains the innovational points and shortcoming of this paper.
