With the constant development and growing popularity of Internet, computer technology and mobile devices, people have entered the information age, and the ability to collect and process information has become a basic skill, which is also necessary. What`s more, with the rapidly rise of Micro Blog, WeChat and other "micro" media, there are more and more access for people to get information, and people are tending to acquire knowledge and information through intermittent or fragmentation ways. In order to comply with students’ requirements about learning resource, as a new form of curriculum and education resource, micro courses is short and pithy; its objectives are clear, time and place is flexible. Thus, micro course attracts lots of attention and researches.Micro course emphasizes that the curriculum design should set students as main body, be suitable for students’ cognitive load, so as to improve students’ study efficiency and promote their comprehensive development.This paper is grounded on high school chemistry knowledge,combines characteristics and design principles of micro course, and makes a research on design and application of micro course on high school chemistry from theoretical study and practical experience.The main works in this study are as follows:Firstly, this paper describes the background and status of the research at home and abroad. Micro era puts forward new requirements and challenges to the modern education,because of the existing defects in traditional chemistry teaching, this paper hopes to make a contribution to the chemistry teaching through micro course teaching.Secondly, this paper makes a literature review about micro courses’ generation, concept,characteristics and classification, and puts forward some new points about micro courses’ s classification based on the characteristics of chemistry in micro courses’ s classification partThirdly, the author analyzes the connotation and characteristics of micro course, puts forward the theoretical basis of this study-- micro courses,s design should be grounded on students’ cognitive load theory and constructivism. This paper also expounds the function and significance of micro teaching, especially in the chemistry teaching, and makes a summary of the design principles and methods of micro course.Fourthly,I choose some representative micro courses to apply in practical teaching,and analyses the application of micro teaching in chemistry teaching by using the classroom observation blank.Fifthly, summary and prospect are discussed in the last chapter,which including the major results of this thesis and innovative points,the expectations of this resaerch,finally I bring forward outlook of the development and research in the future.
