After ten years basic education curriculum reform, the Chinese Ministry of Education officially promulgated the “New Compulsory Education Music Course Standard” in 2011, which stands as the landmark of music education career in our country. Successively as an opportunity, a variety of new music textbooks was published. People’s Music Publishing House has published the “Compulsory Education Music Textbook(Grade Seven)” in 2012, and formally put into use.The pace of reform is firm, but as every reform requires practice test and improvement, there is no exception for music education reform. As a bridge of education theory and education practice teaching design, the practical application of new curriculum reform in testing music plays an important role, thus the study of teaching design is a necessary way in order to promote music education reform and development. According to the current actual teaching situation, the author made a thorough exploration of the teaching design of new music course( the PEP edition). The whole text is divided into four parts: the first part surveys the new curriculum compulsory education in detail, this paper introduces the background knowledge of modern world music education and Chinese music education, analyzes the source of the new curriculum and its manifestation at the stage, makes comprehensive review on the new curriculum teaching design theory. The second part of the teaching curriculum design for the new concert music has developed teaching programs, in-depth analysis of the situation and teach seventh grade school situation, and analyzes the use of instructional design strategy. The third part is the practical part of the new music course teaching design, and has carried on the earnest reconsideration about the implementation of new music course teaching design of teaching case, points out the existed important problems in both the teaching goal and the teaching methods, and on this basis, the author puts forward some suggestions on promoting the advancement of teaching design. The fourth part raises several questions and countermeasures in teaching process, analyzes the improvement approaches in teaching implementation from both theory and practice aspects. All that has been done is on the purpose of providing valuable reference for music teachers.
